[Team 2] the morning after
Ack. Quite overdue, but I was drawing a blank these past few days (and panicking all over the place)... until I read this. So you could say that this drabble is inspired by that, though nowhere near as epic.
(I can't quite do it yet, but thank you for trying, senpai. @okuributa)
Heat courses through his senses as he slowly comes to, vague memories of fervent kisses, whispered pleas, and skin on skin permeating through this state between wakefulness and sleep. Kitayama feels someone rubbing against his arm, an odd but not unwelcome occurrence, as he remembers what happened the night before. His return to full awareness is aided by the warm body sleeping still at his side. It sends a wave of contentment through him, a kind of quiet relief washing over what felt like several lifetimes' worth of hoping for this very moment. Narrowed eyes stare back at him, squinty from just having woken up, but there's nothing unkind in his gaze.
"'morning," Kitayama greets his sleepy guest.
"Mnh," is the articulate reply, "five more minutes." And then Yamapi goes right back to sleep.
Kitayama is already thinking up ways on how he could best wake Yamapi up in five minutes' time, but for now he just relishes the warmth the other man is providing. He also mentally adds in his to-do list to thank his brats later when he sees them today at work.
