[Team 1] A Whole New World

Kisumai (or just Kitayama + Fujigaya as Disney princesses). Sorry 8( 

"A shining prince," Fujigaya repeats, a little incredulously, a little fascinated by the flying carpet hovering in the air. He leans out the window as far as he dares to for a better view. (it's a loooong drop down - his room is on the highest floor of the tower). "A shining prince, you say."

"Yes," the stranger says, his hand still extended out to him in that ridiculous flourish. "I'm your shining prince here to rescue you, to bring you away and show you a whole new world, yada yada, now are you getting up on the carpet or do you plan on staying locked up in your little tower forever?"

"But who are you?" Fujigaya's still a little wary. He's seen enough magical things in his life, but never anything like this. The carpet floats gently in the air, smooth, graceful ripples flowing through it, making the patterns woven into it look almost alive and dancing

"Prince Kitayama," the magic-carpet-man says. "You might know me as Jasmine? Look, it's really tiring, sitting here with my hand held out to you. Are you coming with me or not?"

"But..." Fujigaya pauses. "I don't know you."

Kitayama lets out a loud sigh of mock frustration, shaking his head. "I only have a few hours before Yokoo realises that I sneaked out with his carpet again, and he's not going to be too happy about it. Come on."

"... Why wouldn't he be too happy about it?" Fujigaya hasn't met many people in his life - an inevitable consequence of being imprisoned his entire life in his tower, and this Kitayama-Jasmine person seems rather interesting

"Because he just hung it out in the sun to air," Kitayama says, like it's the most obvious thing ever. "He's in one of his cleaning moods, he even threw me out of the castle."

"Not like you needed airing out in the sun anyway," Fujigaya says, the words escaping him right before his brain catches up with his mouth. Kitayama is quite tanned after all, but it suits him somehow.

Kitayama scowls. "Look who's talking. How did you get so dark if you spent your entire life locked up in this tower?"

"I can't help it, you know," Fujigaya retorts, but he's already making up his mind. "Come closer so I can get on?"

"Now we're getting somewhere," Kitayama says drily, but he does fly a little closer to the window until one edge of the carpet is folded against the stone wall of the tower. "Take my hand."

Kitayama's hand is warm and strong, easily hauling Fujigaya out through the small window a little too quickly. Fujigaya loses his balance and stumbles, nearly falling face down onto the carpet, and it makes Kitayama laugh at him. Fujigaya cautiously sits up, experimentally pressing a palm against the carpet to test it, but the magical material is strong and sturdy, hardly unperturbed by the sudden extra weight.

Ignoring the grin on Kitayama's face, Fujigaya settles himself down in the most dignified way possible, delicately sitting back on his heels and pushing his long bangs out of his eyes. "Shut up, I bet you fell your first time too."

Kitayama raises an eyebrow. "Want to hear about my first time on this? It was at night, high above the city, the lights sparkling beneath like a sea of-"

Fujigaya grimaces. "Eww. No." He shakes his head, his long blonde hair whipping out behind him in the breeze.

"But you asked? And - oh god, your hair," Kitayama says, sounding more exasperated than genuinely shocked. Fujigaya shoots him a heavy scowl, reaching up to gather his long locks into a messy ponytail.

"Braid your hair or put it up in a bun, I don't want it in my face as we fly," Kitayama orders. He waits until Fujigaya is done, then he smiles mischevously. "Good. Now let me show you a whole new world."
