[team 2] Just do it

I didn't want to skip this turn and I wrote something even if I'm like ???!?! about it. With fic2 coming up it's really the worst time to have a writer's block.

The indications were all there already. Yokoo should have guessed before anything actually happened, but he was sort of slow with this kind of things, he had always been. Despite the fact he couldn’t read the signs, the way Fujigaya was behaving that night was a tad too obvious even for his slow imagination.

They had been chilling in their hotel room, like they had done countless times before: a drink and some music, both lazily sprawled on one of their two beds, chatting of nothing special and trying to soothe their bodies, tired from having being strained so much during the live.

It was a particularly quiet night, both of them didn’t have much to say since they had spent the last days together anyway, so they were quietly letting time pass by, taking turns to choose songs to play next on the mp3 player and sipping their drinks. It was when a song ended and Yokoo reached for the mp3 that Fujigaya made that weird move. He grabbed Yokoo’s hand and stared at it, like he was exploring every surface of it with his eyes.

“Your fingers are so long.”

Yokoo wasn’t particularly surprised by the sudden contact, it often happened that Fujigaya would grab him suddenly, or hug him, but when Fujigaya pressed his lips on his knuckles, he reconsidered. He stared away, not daring to take his hand away.

“Taisuke, what are you doing?”

“I want to make it real.”

“What are you talking about?”

“The thing about us.”

“What thing about us?”

“Watta please, don’t be so dumb pretending you don’t understand. I’m talking about us being like a couple.”

“Ah, that.”

“Well I don’t want to just be ‘like a couple’ I want to be a couple.” Fujigaya said staring at Yokoo with defiance.

“Are you serious?”

“Why do you think I would take it so far?”

“I don’t know... for the fans? They seem to like fanservice.”

“And you never noticed that with you I'm a lot closer than with the others? And why would I behave the same way when no one can see us? You know I do that. Why would I want matching clothes? And why do I buy you special presents?”

“Yes, but...” Yokoo felt confused and didn’t actually know what to say. He had never seen things under this light. He liked Fujigaya, maybe even more than a normal friend, he loved to receive attention and to give him attention, and it wasn’t like he never thought of being in a relationship with him. He almost believed they were a couple already, they just didn’t kiss yet nor talked about kissing, so Yokoo never thought there could actually be anything of the sort between them. Or maybe he believed there could be, but never actually make any move to make it happen. “It’s just that... we aren’t actually... how can we be a couple?!”

“We act like a couple all the time! Even in private. How can we not be a couple?!” Fujigaya protested. Yokoo could see he was starting to get nervous.

“Ah so that’s how it is Wataru, you don’t like me.”

“NO, no. It’s not that I don’t like you. In fact I like you a lot but... are you serious?”

“As serious as I can be.” Fujigaya leaned his head on Yokoo’s shoulder and started caressing his arm with light touches of his fingers. “I like you.”

Yokoo knew that Fujigaya wouldn’t take a “no” as an answer. Besides he didn’t even want to say no, why would he? Fujigaya was right, they were already behaving like a couple and without realizing, they were both believing they already were. They just had never talked about it. Fujigaya had just realized before him. He wasn’t confessing, he wasn’t asking him out, he didn’t want to just have sex or anything. He was checking if he had the right intuition about them. He wanted to confirm it was really how he believed it was between them. Yokoo couldn’t deny he believed the same thing and he knew it was time to actually make it real.

He sighed and then bent his neck as Fujigaya looked up. Their eyes met and Yokoo stared at him and whispered “Can I kiss you now?”

“No need to ask, stupid. Aren’t we a couple already?” Fujigaya smiled and Yokoo didn’t wait any further to kiss those smiling lips.
