[Team 1] I Will Hunt You Down
Slightly unintentional, writing another Magic!verse AU side story, but somehow all my prompts on shiritori recently have inspired drabbles for the YaraRyo side story 8D;; One day (soon), I will finish editing the main story and upload it...
He would destroy them all, every last Hunter, if it was the last thing he ever did. They had already taken away one of his own – the sight of the pyre they had built in the forest clearing and the plainly marked gravestone in the secluded corner of Kato's mansion would serve to remind him forever.
But now they had taken Ryota, right from under their noses, and whilst Takahashi had been important, Ryota was the one person they could not lose, not to anyone, but especially not to Hunters.
A sharp knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts, and he whipped around to see Koyama and Kato in the open doorway, their expressions serious.
"Ready?" asked the younger man.
"More than ready," he responded, picking up the dagger he had been polishing, the snake carving on the handle digging into his palm. "Let's go."
Nobody messed with Yara Tomoyuki and got away with it - nobody.
