I woke up this morning with an abundance of Hikaru feelings. I still have no idea where they came from.
The most unexpected way of doing things is Hikaru's way of doing things, is what most people think; that he's nothing but a clown seeking attention, but Yabu knows better. Hikaru may wear the most outrageous clothes (he and his stylist are a match made in heaven), sport ludicrous hairstyles (Yabu still shudders when recalling The Perm - Yuto once declared that it probably held secrets and Yabu will never tell him how close to the mark he really was) and write songs about anything that comes to mind (to this day they don't talk about "I Scream"), but Yabu knows that it's because Hikaru is the one who sees the most. Hikaru's the most courageous person Yabu's ever known - in all the years he's known him, Yabu has never seen Hikaru run from anything; not from other people and most certainly not from himself.
There are so many things that Hikaru understands and perceives about the world around him, things that nobody else does, and Yabu thinks Hikaru will never stop learning, just like he himself will never stop being surprised. It is precisely because of this that he sometimes struggles, but he never stops trying. He is JUMP's resident moodmaker for a reason, and there have been many times over the years where Yabu feels Hikaru has saved them all.

Exactly when they became close Hikaru has no idea, but he's well aware that Inoo is an important part of his life now, both as a member of JUMP and a friend. When they were younger, he often found himself gravitating towards the other boy whenever he could, and part of Hikaru still feels the most at ease when he's with Inoo. He can't explain it, but there's a constant gentleness to Inoo that he finds reassuring, even when the two of them are running around and making stupid jokes only they understand. Somehow, they just click, and although Hikaru has spent quite some time in the past trying to figure out when and why and how, he was never any closer than before.
He stopped thinking about it once JUMP's activities picked up and Inoo's study-load increased - Inoo never said anything but Hikaru could always tell when it was almost too much for him to bear. The thought of Inoo leaving the group was a question raised in the deepest corners of his mind, a thought that terrified him beyond belief. Later, he felt silly for even contemplating such a thing, because Inoo's love for the group was no less than anyone else's.

Years of being in the same group has taught Inoo that nothing is as it seems when it comes to Daiki - he'll say one thing, mean another, be thinking something else, all without being fully aware of it. Inoo has always thought Daiki to be older than his age, shouldering responsibilities that aren't his, worrying about things that are out of his control. He hides it well behind his baby face and carefree laughs, but sometimes he cracks and the only reason Inoo knows this is because he has been around to see it many times before.
It's somewhat okay now in JUMP because there is Yabu and Hikaru, as well as the other members, but things were different back when they were in J.J.Express. Inoo really owes a lot to Daiki, because he honestly doesn't know what he would have done, as the group's randomly appointed leader, without Daiki to keep them steady. It's okay now, but Inoo still watches over him out of habit, familiar with the telltale signs, so that if it does happen again he can be the first one there.

Daiki both admires and envies Takaki, the way he doesn't let anything trouble him, the way he doesn't dwell on things for an endless amount of time. That's not to say he doesn't get rattled, because after all he's still human, but Takaki is much better than handling it than say, Daiki is. Daiki often wonders what life would be like without worries, and he doesn't understand how Takaki does it.
They're considered the two children of BEST, but Daiki knows there's a vast difference between the two of them. He wants to be more like Takaki, with strength and self-confidence. Mostly he just wants to be happy. Daiki knows as much as the next person that people are different however, so he's content with just feeling Takaki's presence near him because whenever he feels like crying, Daiki knows that all he has to do is look for Takaki's smile for everything to be right with his world once more.

If there's one member who could be considered JUMP's leader, the one who worked himself to the bone to pull them all together when everything seemed futile and it mattered the most, it's definitely Yabu. He'd deny it now of course, but Takaki will never forget everything that Yabu has done for them, continues to do for them. It must have been hard on Yabu, being the oldest, the one with the most experience, the one with the most expectation placed upon him. Part of Takaki thinks it's really lucky that he wasn't born two months before, and another part wonders if he could have done more to ease the burden.
At least Yabu's looking much more relaxed and healthier these days, because Takaki will always remember a haggard Yabu collapsing face-forward onto the dressing room couch before rehearsals had even started. He's not sure if he could have taken much more, and thankfully he would never have to find out - the moment Takaki felt he reached his limit was the moment everything started to fall into place to make JUMP what it is today. There are no words to describe how grateful Takaki is, something he suspects is shared between all the members. Takaki has a feeling Yabu knows this already, but one day, hopefully soon, they will all have the courage to voice it out loud.

alsdkfj I really liked this, and how you transitioned from one person in Best to the other. I know you hate me for it, but I'm still laughing at you and your sudden G-karu feels. I swear I do it out of love, okay. Honest.
