[Team 1] Idiots Can't Catch Colds

There's a saying in Japanese how "idiots can't catch colds" or if you're stupid you cannot get sick.

Sticking out his tongue sheepishly, Sakuma looks up at the other person, “Sorry, I got a little lost on my way here. I know you’ve probably been waiting for a while, overly punctual as you are. But hey, I am still on time!”

Iwamoto raises an eyebrow in amusement as he looks at his watch. The other is right. They had promised to meet at nine o’clock and it’s not even a minute past. “You knew I would be early and tried to be early as well and now you’re apologizing for being on time? You make no sense, idiot,” he teases the other and then pushes himself away from the wall. “Also, how on earth do you get lost in this area? We’ve been here hundreds of times.”

“I went to the wrong theater!” Sakuma whines. “My feet just moved automatically.”

“Idiot,” Iwamoto chuckles and then walks towards the subway exit. “Let’s go then.”

They enter the theater a short while later and greet the staff at the entrance and in the hallways. There’s still a lot of time before the show starts - they’re really early - but the hallways and corridors are bustling with activity. There is always something to do, something to fix, something to prepare. Iwamoto knows this and that is why he is perpetually early.

Today though, there is another, ulterior motive to get in before the rest of the crowd.

“We’ll have about an hour and a half until Abe gets here, right?” he confirms as he closes and locks the door to the changing room.

Sakuma checks his phone after he puts down his bag, “Yep. I asked him last night.”

“Good,” Iwamoto steps over from the door, kicks off his sneakers and then pushes Sakuma down onto the tatami mats, “That’s more than enough time.” He grins and then closes what little distance is still left between them, pressing their lips against each other.

Sharing a changing room with the other four members of their group is fun but it doesn’t leave a lot of room for well, more personal things. Having separate rooms allowed them to ‘borrow’ another changing room as the others flocked into one room anyways (not that there wasn’t any flocking now, especially with Hashimoto around).

Two hours later, Watanabe takes one look at Sakuma and rolls his eyes before he looks over to where Iwamoto is already half in his costume.

Iwamoto grins at his groupmate and says, “No worries, Shota. I won’t get a cold from him or anything. Like you did from Ryota.”

“So unfair,” Fukazawa sneezes behind his mask and casts a longing glance over at Abe.

Miyadate snorts softly and nudges Sakuma with an elbow, “You’ve just been insulted, you know? Where’s your response?”

“I know I’m an idiot. And you all keep teasing me about it so there’s no point in getting mad about it?” Sakuma blinks at the other. This has Watanabe actually pressing a hand against the other’s forehead.

“You do feel kind of warm. You sure you’re not sick?” Watanabe asks.

Abe tilts his head over, “If he were then you’d be saying he’s not an idiot.”

Watanabe looks conflicted for a moment, “True that. Guess you’re not getting sick then.”

Sakuma pushes at them, “You guys all suck!”
