[Team 1] The Stages Of Alcohol Consumption

Random blurb about Abe's Birthday. XD
He's legal now! He can drink!

Alcohol should only be consumed in small - reasonable - quantities and measures against hangovers and the like should be taken. Abe had told himself that for a long time in advance but of course the night he was officially declared an adult by law didn’t quite go as planned. His group mates were unpredictable variables after all.

Another unpredictable variable was his own body. He had no idea whatsoever about how his body would react to alcohol. He had never had more than a tiny little bit at time after all.

He considered it an experiment for the sake of the future. Yes, it was completely logical and sensible to do something like this. It could also be considered somewhat of a rite of passage for people who turned of age to get absolutely shitfaced at the first chance they got.

“Here goes nothing,” Abe let the rest of his group lead him into the izakaya.

And well, Fukazawa and Sakuma had survived getting drunk together for Sakuma’s birthday and that spoke for something.

Speaking was a good keyword. Two glasses of beer down, Abe was happily telling Watanabe some juicy bits from his changing room life with Miyadate. Things just seem to pour out of him and he blabbers it all out with no brain-to-mouth-filter present anymore.

It’s only one glass later that he has his arms around Miyadate and declares for the rest of them to know, “I love you man!” very much to Miyadate’s slight discomfort and everyone else’s amusement. Miyadate turns a little indignant when even Watanabe seems to be highly amused by their newfound ‘bromance’ or whatever it is.

One glass more has Abe reduced to tears and he cries into Iwamoto’s shoulder, while he tells the other how glad he’s that he’s stayed with them, that he made it back into Snow Man and how thankful he is to all of them for being there, for being his group, his friends.

His talking is reduced to more or less gibberish when Iwamoto passes Abe on after another round of drinks, to lean against Sakuma - which of course doesn’t really work, considering their height differences. Sakuma tries to take care of the taller male anyway, offering a smile and nods, despite not understanding a single word of what Abe is telling him.

When Sakuma had to let go of Abe for a while, Fukasawa took the other’s place.

“I guess you should stop drinking now. Have some water. Or you’ll have a nasty hangover in the morning. Trust me,” the older male nudged a glass of water towards the youngest in their midst. “Although, maybe that’s part of the experience.”

“Fukka?” Abe looked at the other, suddenly all serious and earnest.

It seemed to surprise the older male a little bit. “Yes? Something wrong? Need to barf?”

“I love you,” Abe blurted out.

“Like you love Ryota?” Fukasawa smiled.

Abe shook his head, “No. Not like that. I really love you. Really.” He reached up and cupped Fukasawa’s cheek. “For real,” he added for more emphasis and then pressed his lip against the other’s in a slightly clumsy and sloppy kiss.

This of course prompted wolf whistles and catcalls from Miyadate and Watanabe and the commotion brought back Iwamoto and Sakuma as well.

“Wooh, he finally got it out,” Miyadate grinned. “Thought it would never happen.”

“All it took was a little liquid courage, huh? Surprisingly normal,” Watanabe chuckled.

Iwamoto put a hand on his hip, “But enough alcohol for today. For all of us. Water now.”

“Rogar that, leader,” Sakuma mock-saluted, which earned him a gentle thwack on the chest.

“Fukka, you’ll be responsible for taking Abe-chan home later, alright? We can chip in for a cab if he can’t take the train anymore,” Iwamoto turned to look at Fukasawa, who was blinking in confusion. “Okay?”

It took a few moments for Fukasawa to respond, “Okay.”

Looking down at Abe who was starting to fall asleep against his shoulder, Fukasawa thought that he would definitely take the others up on that offer later.

He poked Abe gently.

“Stay awake!”

“Gnn,” Abe grunted.

“At least stay awake enough so that I can reply to you, idiot,” Fukasawa muttered. Then he added quietly, “I like you, too.”

Abe’s sleepy face was lit up by what seemed to be a 10000000 kilowatt smile.
