“Watta!” Nikaido didn't seem bothered at all by Yokoo's scolding. “We aren't showing, we're measuring.”

Senga waved the ruler in agreement. “Nika's bigger than me, but smaller than Taipi,” Senga reported.

“I see,” Yokoo replied, still looking disapproving.

“No.” Yokoo's voice was stern. “I will not show you mine.”

“Pretty please with a cherry on top?” Senga tried.

“Don't be a spoilsport!” was Nikaido's contribution. Nikaido yelped when Senga kicked him.

“I'm plenty of fun, thanks,” Yokoo told Nikaido.

“We've measured everyone else, it would be untidy if only one was missing...” Senga said, and Yokoo rolled his eyes. Did they really think he was that easy?

Apparently they did, because both of the faces turned up to look at him shone with hopefulness. “Before you pester me all week,” Yokoo said, giving in. He knew he shouldn't spoil them like that.
