[Team 1] After Midnight Crazy

Random (hopefully cute) blurb. ^^; SnowMan adventures in Hakata.

I can't seem to come up with something substantial lately...

“Say what you will, we’re going,” Iwamoto had grinned at a tired looking Watanabe.

Sakuma was beaming at the other as well. “Come on, it’s going to be fun!”

Eying the two blearily, Watanabe shook his head, “You guys have way too much energy. And which one of you had the stupid idea to go and look at cherry blossoms in the middle of the night? It’s almost 2 AM!”

“Actually that was me,” a third voice spoke up and Miyadate poked his head out from behind Iwamoto. “You can stay here if you’re tired though, Shota?”

For a moment, Watanabe was silent and he looked like he was trying to consider the invitation again. In the end though, he shook his head, “I’m crashing. I think Fukka’s already asleep, in case you wanted to ask him.” He nodded his head towards a lump on the second bed in the room. “And I assume Abe-chan wanted to study?”

“Nope, he’s asleep. He seemed all hyper at first but when Hikaru finished his shower he was out like a light,” Sakuma shook his head.

“I see. Well anyway, see you guys...later,” Watanabe yawned and closed the door again.

Miyadate looked at the other two, “That leaves us?”

“I guess it does,” Iwamoto nodded. “Let’s go.”

Hakata at night had become somewhat of a familiar sight to all of them. Heck, they had only seen it one or two days during daylight so far. After all, they had to work all day during most days. Right now happened to be cherry blossom season though and like all Japanese people, the boys, too, felt the need to go cherry blossom viewing at some point.

And if they couldn’t do it during the daylight, they had to do it at night. A lot of the main cherry blossom viewing sites were illuminated after all, so they would still be able to see the flowers.

The moon was out as well and provided some more light for them as they strolled down the large alley of trees and looked at the shrine from afar.

“I’ve never looked at cherry blossoms in the middle of the night before,” Miyadate commented.

“There’s a first for everything, isn’t there, Ryota?” Sakuma snickered. “If you think about it, looking at cherry blossoms in the moonlight looks kind of cool, doesn’t it?” He looked up through the tree branches and smiled. “It’s a very different kind of beauty.”

“Wow, who flipped your sentimental switch, Sakkun?” Iwamoto chuckled but then followed Sakuma’s gaze. He had to admit that the other was right, though. It was beautiful.

Miyadate looked at his two friends and smiled. Maybe he should have stayed at the hotel after Watanabe had declined their invitation. The other two would’ve probably enjoyed this more by themselves, without having him around as a fifth wheel.

“Ryota, don’t think anything weird now,” Sakuma suddenly snapped his fingers in front of his face, making him jump and then blink.

“Huh?”

Iwamoto punched the other’s shoulder, “You were just thinking about ditching us, weren’t you? Something along the lines of ‘they’d be happier without me’.”

“Ah…” his groupmates knew him too well it seemed.

Sakuma stuck out his tongue, “It’s fun to be with you, too. It’s fun to be with all of our group and everyone else. Couple-y things are fun, too but we don’t need that all the time. I don’t need that all the time at least. I love hanging out with everyone, because I love everyone.” He smiled. Then his smile turned into a grin, “Should you need some more affection, though, I will be more than happy to hold hands with both of you now~”

“How the hell would that look? Three guys holding hands,” Iwamoto rolled his eyes.

“There’s nobody around to see! We’re the only crazy people here at 3 AM,” Sakuma pointed out. “Also, three people holding hands isn’t as eye-catching as just two people. Plus, if that’s what it takes to make Ryota look and feel less lonely, so be it!”

Lifting his hands, Miyadate shook his head, “It’s alright you two. It’s alright.”

Iwamoto and Sakuma shared a look and then grinned.

“Let’s go up on the mountain and see if we get a nice view of the city from there,” Sakuma suggested. “It should be somewhere that way.”

“Okay,” Iwamoto nodded.

“Wait, shouldn’t we start heading back soon? We should sleep, at least a bit! You guys we have shows-” Miyadate eep-ed when Sakuma and Iwamoto linked arms with him and each side and then dragged him along. “Wait, what, hey!” Maybe he had underestimated just how much energy these two still had after shows sometimes.

“Sleep is overrated, Date-sama,” Sakuma said jokingly. “Tonight’s the night!”

“For what?” Miyadate asked.

“Just to have fun,” Iwamoto grinned.

Miyadate hung his head, “You two are crazy!”
