[Team 1] Single Rooms

So, Kisumai said they're going to have single rooms starting this tour...

All things come to an end at some point. When their manager tells them it’s going to be single rooms starting from this tour, the reactions are mixed. Nikaido and Senga look like kicked puppies, Fujigaya makes a face at first but then shrugs it off, Yokoo shrugs it off straight away and Kitayama doesn’t look like he minds either. Tamamori’s eyes wander over to the person next to him and he finds Miyata looking back at him with a grin.

“You’re not going to be lonely, are you, Yuta~?” Miyata chirps at him.

Tamamori smushes Miyata’s face into the papers on the table, “Who’s going to be lonely, you idiot.” He makes a face and pulls his hand away again.

He’s living by himself after all. There’s no way he’d feel lonely without any of the others around. Nothing’s going to change just because they’d be staying in single rooms. What was the other saying? Miyata was just being silly again, as usual.

It’s until Tamamori and the others are actually at the hotel when he starts to notice things. He can’t turn over and say something to Miyata. The other isn’t there, to talk to or to tease or whatever. There is way too much space in the bathtub, too.

Pouting, Tamamori rolls over on the bed and refuses to admit to himself that he is feeling a little lonely after all but he also refuses to do something about it. It would be easy to just go to the room next door and find Miyata there but no, Tamamori was way too stubborn to do that. At least not yet. Maybe later. Maybe in ten minutes. Or five.

When he knocks on the door, he blinks when he hears voices from inside. There’s laughter and it’s clearly not just from one person. It’s also not Miyata who opens the door.

“Oh, Tamamori-kun,” Sakuma smiles at him. “Are you looking for Miyacchi?”

“Ah, were you guys busy?” Tamamori feels something, something he doesn’t want to feel but he can’t help it. He knows there’s no need for him to feel like this, to feel that ugly, dark jealousy but despite knowing that, he can’t stop it, can’t stop himself. He doesn’t want to admit it but it’s probably the proof of his feelings, of how much he feels and cares for the other. Things always had two sides after all - even love. “I’ll go and find someone else if you’re busy. I know you guys enjoy your anime talk and all that.” He knew how often Miyata wrote mails to Sakuma and he knew that Miyata liked the younger male because he was the only one he could properly ‘fanboy’ with over all the anime stuff. “Sorry to have interrupted you.”

He’s about to leave again but a hand grabs onto his wrist and keeps him from doing so.

“Where do you think you’re going, Yuta,” Miyata appears in the door and his eyes find Tamamori’s and seek out his soul through them.

Tamamori fights the urge to shiver. He always feels naked when the other does that to him, in a sense that doesn’t involve clothes. “You’re with your friend, so I don’t want to bother you,” he replies and his tone sounds almost defiant, as if to argue against something Miyata has said, without actually having said it. If that made sense.

“Ah, you’re not interrupting anything, Tamamori-kun. I was just saying hello. I’m going to eat with Shota and Abe-chan now. We got here late,” Sakuma smiles and then strikes the pose he’s frequently been using lately. “Nico Nico ni~”

“Nico Nico ni~” Miyata replies with the same pose, albeit one-handed, since he’s still holding onto Tamamori. Once Sakuma’s walked out of the room, Miyata pulls Tamamori inside and closes the door behind them again.

Looking at the taller male once more, Miyata starts, “Now, as for you…”

“What is this,” Tamamori finally snaps out of it and shakes his head. “You acting all cool!” He punches Miyata’s shoulder and the other laughs at him. “You idiot!”

Suddenly Tamamori feels some tension leaving his body, which he hadn’t realized had been there. He holds onto Miyata and then wraps his arms around the other before he presses his lips against Miyata’s in a brief, gentle kiss. “Why am I even doing this.”

“Because you love me and you were feeling lonely in your room all by yourself after all! Ow!”

Tamamori had punched the other’s shoulder again. Now he strode into Miyata’s room and announced - or commanded really, “Let’s take a bath.”

“But Tama-chan, we showered after rehearsals already?”

“So what? Let’s take a bath now. Come on,” he grabs Miyata’s hand this time and drags him to the bathroom. Despite his words, there isn’t much resistance from Miyata.

Later that night, Miyata attempts to carry Tamamori back over to the other’s room - maybe they should just attempt to fool management into thinking this works, for whatever reason but really, it’s returning the other now or dealing with grumpy Tamamori in the morning when nothing he wants is around because all of his things are over in his room.

Miyata is just fumbling with the room key, when he hears something from the other side of the hallway. He has to stifle a laugh when he sees Miyadate carrying a sleeping Watanabe on his back - the latter was, of course, only wearing a pair of shorts.

“Fell asleep in the wrong room, too?” Miyadate mouths to Miyata, who nods and Miyadate gives him a sympathetic smile. He then makes an ‘ah-HA’ face when the door he’s been trying to open does so at long last. Miyadate nods and mouths a soundless good night at Miyata and then disappears inside the room. Watanabe didn’t even stir.

The door to Tamamori’s room opens as well and Miyata carefully carries Tamamori inside and puts him onto the bed. He’s just pulled the blankets over the other and is straightening up to leave, when a hand grabs his wrist and pulls him down onto the bed. “Where do you think you’re going, Toshi,” a sleepy voice asks.

“Yuta,” Miyata laughs, realizing that this is the reversed situation from the one before in the doorway. “Let go. I’m going back to my room.”

“You’re not going anywhere,” Tamamori huffs and wraps both of his arms around Miyata’s waist, keeping him in place. “Or I’m going to kill you,” he adds for good measure and closes his eyes again. It doesn’t even take more than a minute and he’s out like a light once more, effectively trapping Miyata in his arms.

“Yuta~~” Miyata whines but he’s laughing. “Tama-chaan~” he tries again. It’s useless though and with a last soft laugh, Miyata gives up and closes his eyes as well. Well, so much for getting single rooms from now on. He just hopes their managers will take it with humor or with some eye rolling and won’t be too exasperated.
