[MOD POST] The Return of the Failbot!Mod
/rises from within her pile of whatever it is she is constantly surrounded by.
Friends!
The Failbot!Mod lives! (It's been so long I'd actually forgotten what my Subject tag was XD)
It has been quite a very long time since the last reorganisation of teams - a very big thanks to everyone who participated and made this community as fun as it is! Alas, it has been quite a very long time, and teams are beginning to flag a little in energy.
So! Time for a reshuffle, I think!
Once again, drop your name in the comment box below to let me know if you still want in on this, and if it's okay to loop you in as a team leader (again).
As I hope to get the new teams running by or just after Chinese New Year, please drop your names in by the 15th of February!
Additionally, I would like to take this chance to announce the arrival of two extra writing games that aren't mandatory and totally on an opt-in, opt-out basis.
The first is a round robin game, which will be played in a comment thread of a post that will be made sticky after the new teams have been sorted. The detailed rules of that will be posted on a post that will be made sticky, but for those of you not familiar, a round robin game is where A posts one section, then B continues, and then C continues, and so on and so forth. For the sake of speed and all potentials, it will involve single sentences - so A posts one sentence, B carries on the story for another sentence, C picks up with a third sentence, etcetc so on and so forth. MORE INFORMATION TO COME.
The second game is speed shiritori. This will be like the current shiritori game, except instead of going in an order (so A -> B -> C -> D -> A -> B etc.) the members aim to post as quickly as possible while still adhering to the rules of shiritori (72 hours, minimum 100 words). As there is no order, a situation may arise where two members post around the same time, which is even more fun because branches! Of course, this could get horrendously out of hand, so the running of this game will be a) a trial run and b) limited in participant numbers to a maximum of five (5) people. (It may or may not run if we don't get five members... We will see...) Sign-ups for this are the same as normal shiritori: let me know in the comments below if you want in. Maximum sign-up number reached so I'll be closing this~ Thank you to everyone who signed up! o/
Anyway, that is all from your resident failbot!mod. I hope to see you again in the new season!
A final note: all teams that have not yet finished running a their current round, carry on until the last person~!
