[MOD POST] GOOD NEWS~♪ SHE'S HERE~♪ THE FAILBOT MOD IS HERE~♪
I AM SO SORRY I promised this post around noon today (24th) but then I didn't because I went out to send letters and sit in a cafe and drink tea. My sincerest apologies, everyone who have been waiting...
BUT! Onto the actual notice:
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, my good friends of Shiritori-land!
Firstly: did you know that Shiritori turned 5 on the 15th of February?
Happy 5th Birthday, Shiritori (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧
Unfortunately, no grand celebration as Failbot!Mod remembered too late - she was too busy floating about on the cloud nine that was VIXX's First Concert in Taipei. (They are so, so incredibly good. If you ever get the chance to, I highly recommend going to see them live. They are absolutely amazing: their music, their dances, their live performances, everything. And if you ever need a place to start, I highly recommend their most recent mini-album Error - that's how I fell down that rabbit hole in the first place. /shameless plugging over.)
More importantly: today, I bring news of the new Shiritori team line-ups~
Again, we had a very large turn out (24 for regular shiritori, and a lot of interest expressed for the Round Robin, rules of which will be posted up soon so anticipate juseyo~) so once again, we are splitting into five teams. I have tried my best to split everyone up into teams that will allow for easy communication between the members, but the smooth running of this will be dependent upon you wonderful people. I hope everyone will work well together~
So, are you excited for the new roster?
As it is the Lunar New Year period (it technically doesn't end until the Lantern festival on Lunar January 15th or Gregorian March 5th 2015, apparently), I thought it would be fun if the starting words for each of the teams could be related to the festivities? By that, I mean: let's write about festivals, or large family meals, or dragons, or rams (as 2015 is the Year of the Ram). Anything you associate with the Lunar New Year festivities a-go! (Of course, that is just an additional challenge - really, you write anything you wanted to.)
Finally, a few reminders before we get started:
☆ Please pay close attention to which team you're in so that you don't use the wrong team tag. Additionally, tagging your team in the subject line would be a great help to everyone.
☆ Please lj-tag the person after you so that they can be notified by Frank of their turn. If you are able to contact them outside the LJ system (e.g. Twitter, Line, Whatsapp, KKT, etc.), please also drop them a friendly note~
And on that note, I wish you all: happy writing!

The speed shiritori team shall be made up of the following five people (listed in order of sign-up):
Speed shiritori will work the same as regular shiritori - all the same rules apply - except that there will be no specified order: I will post the first fic, and it will be a free-for-all after that. This may or may not create branches, which may or may not become confusing, but… Let's give it a try first and see where to go from there…?
In the event that two (or more) people write a response to one person's fic, please can the people who post responses after them link the related fic at the beginning of their response post.
For example:
If jojibear posts a story, and then both bluedreaming and mousapelli writes and posts a fic using jojibear's last word/sentence. Then goodbyelover writes and posts a story using bluedreaming's last word/sentence, goodbyelover will need to link back to bluedreaming's story at the beginning of her post.
In the event that multiple branches are created, once 72 hours are up, any branches that were not continued will become obsolete. So, in the example above, if mousapelli's last word/sentence was not used within 72 hours, then the branch she had created would be out of the game.
Speed shiritori will have its own tag ("*Team SONIC") and our subject line tag shall be "Team SONIC".
Once again, I must re-iterate that this is an experimental game, and any feedback during gameplay would be much, much appreciated. Thank you for signing up, and I look forward to a fun round of speed shiritori with you all!
