KENTO IS SICK & I'M SAD. FK RAJI ENDED & I'M SAD. MY LIFE IS SAD! /VIOLIN

"A karaoke date? Really?" Fuma laughs softly and brushes Kento's bangs out of his eyes, trying to ignore how hot Kento's skin feels when his fingertips brush against his forehead. It isn't easy; he can feel the heat radiating off of Kento's entire body from his position, seated on Kento's bed. "We haven't gone to karaoke together in years."

"I know," Kento replies, eyes fever-bright as they search for Fuma's and Fuma leans a little closer, not wanting to force Kento to sit up in this condition. He blinks rapidly as though struggling to keep them open. "But I want to sing with you again before I die." He coughs twice and moans miserably. "And that might be soon."

"You're not going to die, Kento."

Fuma rolls his eyes, but his hand resumes stroking Kento's hair until Kento rolls over onto his stomach. Fuma rubs his back comfortingly, his fingertips forming meaningless patterns over Kento's shirt. He grins to himself as he gets a better idea, instead writing characters until Kento turns his head in Fuma's direction, eyes closed, a smile playing across his lips.

"Didn't we already play this game?"

"This is our private version."

Fuma continues to smile down as he writes, his finger flying over the soft material until he finishes and pulls back.

"Do you know what I wrote?"

"Some of it. The rest I just felt."

"Sap." Fuma leans down to kiss Kento's flushed cheek. "You need to get some sleep."

"I need you," Kento pouts, burying his face into the pillow to stifle another round of coughing, and Fuma sighs, pressing a lingering kiss to the back of his neck.

"You already have me, idiot."

Kento reaches for Fuma's hand and Fuma squeezes it reassuringly, then pries Kento's fingers open to write a single character on Kento's palm. Kento sighs contentedly, asleep almost immediately, and Fuma has no doubt that this particular message, at least, was clear.
