[Team Four] Service
Part of this AU with SZ cafe, except the kids don't make much of an appearance. I blame Jojo |D
“Pancakes?” Kento looks up from his laptop in surprise when Shori places a plate of oddly-shaped pancakes topped with soft-serve ice cream and rainbow sprinkles on the table in front of him. “But I didn’t order this…”
“Special service from the owner.” Shori quips with a wide grin. Glancing around to ensure no one is listening in on their conversation, he leans forward to whisper to Kento. “These pancakes were made by Fuma-kun! He tried to bribe Sou to make them but Mari told him it had to come from the heart and we also said that it would be more sincere if he made them himself so he spent all day yesterday practici- Ow!” Shori reaches up to rub the back of his head. His expression quickly changes from cheeky to sheepish when he sees Fuma glaring at him and after excusing himself, he scurries back to the safety of his position behind the counter.
“Did you have to be so violent with him?” Kento asks with a chuckle.
Only when he is satisfied that the others are doing their work properly and they would not be further interrupted, Fuma places the cup of caffe latte on the table before sliding into the booth seat across from Kento. “They’re getting out of hand.”
“That’s only because you spoil them.”
“I do not.”
Kento merely hums in response as he picks up his cutlery and starts to examine his food. As he pushes aside the soft-serve ice cream, he bursts out laughing. “Are these… banana-shaped?” He manages to wheeze out after some time, almost doubled over in laughter.
“Shut up and eat them already.” Fuma tries to hide his embarrassment by coughing.
Wiping the tears of laughter from the corners of his eyes, Kento finally manages to keep his composure in check. His heart however, skips a beat when he catches sight of the faint blush dusting Fuma’s cheeks. Using his thumb to stroke across Fuma’s knuckles before lacing their fingers together, Kento smiles at him. “Thank you for the cute surprise, Fumatan~ But why?”
“Because my boyfriend loves bananas.”
