I'm not even going to pretend that this hasn't been sitting in my drafts folder since, uh... January? I never knew where exactly I was going with it so it never got finished but hey, at least it gets to see the light of day. Reference to the plot of this year's Johnny's World but this image will tell you all you need to know.
"Controlling it is impossible, huh?" Kento asks as he carefully traces the lines of Shori's palm with one finger. Shori nods, his hand trembles and his fingers twitch, but for the first time, he doesn't yank his hand away. "Why?"
"I don't know." Shori's voice is quiet as he watches Kento's fingers dance across his skin. "I've never really liked it, you know? People touching me..." He bites his lip as Kento reaches the edge of his bare wrist. "It just doesn't feel good. I thought if I practiced with you, I'd get used to it, but... forget it. It isn't working." He pulls his hand back and drops it into his lap, embarrassed.
"Let's try again."
"I don't think it'll help."
"Let's try anyway!"
Kento grins brightly and Shori sighs. It's not possible to resist Kento. He holds his hand out to Kento once again and braces himself for the strange sensation of Kento's fingers sliding between his own. When it finally comes, though, it's less awkward than the first time, and the second, and when Kento abruptly squeezes his hand, he's even able to smile.
"Why me?" Kento asks a few moments later, when the mood has gone somewhat quiet again.
"What?"
"There are a lot of people you could have asked to do this with you. Why did you ask me?"
Shori shrugs. "It just had to be you." He knows that might sound strange, but thankfully, Kento just nods, looking up in surprise when there's a firm grip around his hand, this time initiated by Shori.
"Don't die," Shori says, sounding oddly serious. "Please," he adds.
Kento laughs quietly as he draws a heart onto Shori's palm. Shori smiles to himself despite the strange atmosphere and the fact that he can't seem to meet Kento's gaze.
"I won't."
