[Team SONIC] friends don't let friends
Starting word from here.
Yixing manhandles Jongdae into a headlock, arm curling around Jongdae's neck in a loose hold. He doesn't mean much by the action, but Jongdae knows what this is about anyway: the grin he had been wearing was enough of a give away.
"So," Yixing starts, elongating the sound in mock curiosity, "a girlfriend, huh? When were you going to tell us?"
"Eventually," Jongdae said, his voice muffled against the fabric of Yixing's trousers as he puts up a token fight. "I was going to— Let go of me!" he yelled when Yixing jokingly tightened his hold slightly, bodily shoving his way out.
Yixing had the courtesy to look at least a little shame-faced, and he held up his hands in a placating manner. "Sorry," he muttered as he sat down on the sofa just behind him. "I may have had one too many mugs of coffee earlier."
Jongdae shrugged, plopping down onto the floor. He picked up his phone, which had dropped onto the ground in the ambush, and checked if he had any messages. There was one — the yellow and brown Kakaotalk logo told him so — but it was probably from Liyin, a last short message. He didn't need to check it now, not when he'd just gotten off an hour-long call with her, not when Yixing was demanding his attention and explanation.
"So," Yixing prompted, once Jongdae had put his phone away again and was looking at him, "girlfriend?"
Jongdae smiled. "I'm sure you can guess who. I've been going on and on about her for ages."
