What she needs right now, more than anything else, is the confirmation that the flight has arrived, the assurance that he's landed safely. Because it's been well over an hour since the plane was scheduled to touch down and he hasn't sent a single message to let her know.

It wouldn't be such a problem if she weren't stuck at this pretentious dinner party, mingling with people she didn't even want to be associated with. But she had been coerced by that horrid co-worker of hers, and so here she was, tuning out inane babble by fretting over an unsent message.
