He was supposed to wake up a long time ago, but Joonmyun is glad when the sun warmth creeping across his face is what finally rouses him. He can hear the clink of dishes from the kitchen and the bitter vapor of coffee aroma is thick in his nostrils. He rolls over just enough that his ears aren’t muffled by the squashiness of his pillow and smiles when he hears Tao’s humming over the clank of the skillet and the chatter of a knife on the cutting block.
Joonmyun is hungry enough to scramble out of bed and eat his first meal of the day straight out of the pan, but the decision to stay and laze a bit longer in bed is a no brainer. Knowing Tao, they’ll just end up having breakfast in bed, and to Joonmyun that sounds like a perfect way to start the day.
