[Team Four] A Night In Singapore
Since I had time now (I should be sleeping but alas... jet lag) and won't have much time the next few days, here goes.
Too distracted by his surroundings - this was the first time for Snow Man to stay at such an expensive hotel and an overseas one at that - Sakuma didn’t notice someone walking up to him until the other person bumped into his back and almost made him faceplant onto the expensive, polished floor of the hallway. Turning around, he found himself looking up at Iwamoto.
“Hikaru!” He smiled at the other. “What are you up to?” Sakuma tilted his head over. “Pool? Is Ryota coming with you? Or...?” He tried to look behind the other for any of the others.
Iwamoto shook his head. “Date-sama needs cuddles tonight. Shota just kicked me out of my own room.” He huffed indignantly - but didn’t mean it of course. “I know you wanted to give Abe-chan some peace and quiet for studying but I just saw Fukka sneaking into your room. So I don’t know how much studying he’ll actually get done tonight.”
Sakuma laughed softly. “Eeh? Then what did I even leave for. Also that means both of us are without a room to go to for the time being, huh?” Considering the only room vacant right now was Fukazawa’s and Watanabe’s but of course neither Sakuma nor Iwamoto had a key for that one (unlike Abe). “So what were you going to do?”
“Find you of course, idiot.” Iwamoto muttered and then looked around, checking for any unwanted onlookers. “Were you going to go to the pool or what were you up to?”
Shrugging, Sakuma said, “I wanted to go and explore a bit? I asked Yamamoto and the others if they wanted to join me but they seemed busy. So I was just going to wander a bit by myself. There shouldn’t be too many people around any more at this hour, right? So it’ll be fine. And it’s dark, so it’s harder to get recognized…”
“Hn.” Iwamoto looked out of the large windows. “Well, why not.”
They took the elevator down to the lobby and then took another elevator back up to get to the Skywalk that connected the Marina Bay Sands Hotel complex to the Gardens By The Bay. It didn’t take long for them to be able to spot the Supertree Grove, lit up brightly in the colours of Singapore for the 50th Anniversary of the country. There were a couple of other people outside, taking pictures and Sakuma and Iwamoto joined them for a while before moving on.
Once they got to the actual gardens, they were pretty much alone.
The night was hot and humid - not much different than what the weather was like during the day, just minus the scorching sun. Sakuma looked around the gardens in awe. “Things look so different at night. As if we stepped into a whole different world!”
Iwamoto just hummed affirmatively. He was fighting down the queasy feeling in his stomach. This wasn’t as bad as a haunted house or anything but it was still a little on the creepy side.
“Hikaru!” He jumped a little bit when Sakuma called out to him. Iwamoto’s eyes went wide when he felt a pair of hot lips against his the next moment and he instinctively pushed the other away.
“What-”
Sakuma laughed softly. “Sorry. But you know...nobody will see us here. I wanted to kiss you out in the open...just once. Although I guess it’s kind of cheating to do it right now.” After all they were in a deserted park, hidden by the darkness of the night and a bunch of plants.
For a moment, Iwamoto just looked at the other and then snorted. “You’re an idiot.”
“I know.” Sakuma laughed and then made a move to pull his phone out of his backpocket again but before he could do so, he was pressed against the trunk of a nearby tree and his lips were claimed in a proper, deeper kiss. It drew a soft sound from Sakuma and he reached up to hold onto Iwamoto’s shoulders. One of his hands moved to rest on Iwamoto’s cheek and then he pushed his fingers through the other’s short, still slightly damp hair. He slid the tips of his fingers along the other’s scalp just as his tongue rubbed itself against Iwamoto’s. This time it was the other’s turn to make a soft sound.
“Kiss me properly while you’re already at it. Geez. Do I have to take care of everything around here?” Iwamoto commented when he pulled away again after a while.
Sakuma just laughed again and then checked the time on his phone. “Let’s go back? I think Abe-chan will be doing the ‘bedtime call’ soon. Even if Fukka distracted him before. He’s set an alarm for it. Plus, we’re going to the amusement park early tomorrow.”
“Ah, is it your turn now.” Iwamoto nodded. “Yeah, let’s go back.”
When they got back to their floor, they arrive at the door of Iwamoto’s and Miyadate’s room just in time to see Watanabe coming out of it. The other gave Iwamoto an apologetic look and offered a soft, “Sorry.” He opened his mouth to say more but Iwamoto just shook his head.
“It’s okay, Shota. Don’t worry about it. It’s not like we don’t know you or Ryota. How many times have we stayed together at hotels now?” Iwamoto smiled.
Watanabe laughed and looked back at the door behind him. “True that. Anyway, let me go back to my room. I have the key. So Fukka can come back now.”
Sakuma mock-saluted. “I’ll tell him that.” He offered Watanabe a smile as well. “Night, Shota.”
“Night.”
Iwamoto pulled out his key card. “Have fun tomorrow.”
“Thank you. You, too. Sleep well, Hikaru.” Sakuma smiled and waved and then walked over to the next door, to his and Abe’s room.
He had just opened the door when he heard the buzz of Abe’s alarm.
“What the heck, you really DO set an alarm for it!” Sakuma could hear Fukazawa’s voice before he could even walk far enough into the room to see the other. “So...so...organized.”
Abe could be heard laughing sheepishly. “Ah, I think I heard the door?”
“Are you guys decent? Not that I really care.” Sakuma called out playfully. “Shota’s back in your room, so you can go home now, Fukka.” He added.
“Okay, okay.” There was the sound of the mattress shifting and a moment later, Fukazawa appeared in front of Sakuma. His dark, curly hair was slightly disheveled - someone had wrecked a bit of a havoc in there. “Night you two.”
“Night Fukka.”
“Night Tatsuya.”
When the door closed, Sakuma raised an eyebrow and looked at Abe, when he walked over to his own bed. “Tatsuya, is it now?” He grinned, making Abe blush a little bit.
“Sometimes.” Abe flattened his own hair again - it was resembling his Bakaleya hairstyle a little bit currently, standing up in all directions. “Now, let’s get ready for bed.”
“Yes sir!” Sakuma saluted again and then called shotgun on the bathroom - but he let Abe in so that they could both brush their teeth together before Sakuma went to have another shower because he felt a bit sticky from having been outside.
“Time flies, doesn’t it?” He said when he came back into the room after jumping under the spray quickly. “The shows just started and now they’re almost over already.”
Abe nodded in agreement. “Yeah.” He smiled. “Let’s enjoy everything to the fullest until the very end, so we can move forward without regrets.”
“You sound like Tezuka-buchou from Prince of Tennis. Or Hikaru for that matter.” Sakuma laughed and then rolled onto his bed. “Sleep well, Abe-chan.”
“You, too.” The other turned off the lights and their room was engulfed in pitch black darkness.
