[Team SONIC] Hot Pursuit
Oops, somehow we let this run out of time last time ;; Let's see if we can keep it going this time until the next line-up change!
On his way here, Jongdae had spent the time wondering if he was doing the right thing by pursuing Liyin like this. On the one hand, fortune was said to favour the bold; on the other hand, good things were more likely to be bestowed upon those who waited.
(Apparently. The two arguments had come from Chanyeol and Baekhyun respectively, and Jongdae had found it just a little ironic that Baekhyun's advice was to take things slow when just two months ago, he had been almost relentless in his pursuit of Taeyeon. Kyungsoo's response to this comment was to snort derisively into his coffee, as though the reasoning was the most obvious thing in the world, before rapping his knuckles against Jongdae's forehead.)
But it was too late to second-guess himself now.
He knew, from what a high school friend whose room was two doors down from Liyin's had told him, that she her first class on a Wednesday started at 9 o'clock promptly, and that she had a tendency of leaving half an hour before to grab herself a coffee.
So here he was, waiting outside her dormitory building at half-past 8 with the hopes of catching her as she headed off to her first class.
He had even bought her favourite coffee from the café he saw her frequent. (And no, he hasn't been stalking her, what are you talking about?)
Nervous, he tapped his foot against the stone pavement, then began bouncing gently on the balls of his feet. He quickly glanced down at his watch and frowned: she was already two minutes late and if she didn't hurry she was going to be late for her class, café trip or no.
Just then, the lock mechanism clicked and the door of the building swung open, and Jongdae looked up with a large grin plaster on his face.
But it was not Liyin who walked through the door.
