He'll never voice aloud just how important Liyin actually is to him β it's the best kept not-secret in their little universe.
They dance around each other, awkward meetings as they rush between practice room and recording room, fleeting brushes of the backs of their hands as they pass each other by. Maybe, on the very odd occasion, if and when they're very lucky, they'll exchange a few words, and never very many. Everything between them is conveyed by sight and touch.
But that's okay for Jongdae. It's enough to carry him through his days, push him towards higher goals and broader horizons.
And if anyone has anything to say about it, question it⦠Well, that's their prerogative, isn't it? They're entitled to their opinions, their doubts, and with Jongdae's blessing too, because he's not them and they're not him. They don't know him, and they won't know him unless they sit back and watch, look for the details that they've clearly missed.
