[team two] mixed feelings

Something totally random I came up with before the deadline.

“Do you have any questions?”

The group of seven young men shakes their heads. With that the PD tells them the meeting is over for now and the practice would start as soon as possible.

Jackson grins and makes a high five with Bambam who's sitting next to him. GOT7's new variety show would divide them into three groups (two, two, three division, to be exact) and each group would have a mission they'd carry out, not forgetting to add all the possible twisted jokes and show their personality through the show. Jackson had felt no hesitation as he had offered himself and Mark for one group as they could come up with some brilliant English stuff and the PD had agreed it's certainly a great idea.

“It's sooo nice to get to do something totally new,” Jackson comments cheerfully as they walk through the corridor and he puts an arm around Jinyoung's shoulder. “Too bad that we're not in the same team this time.”

“Sure,” Jinyoung answers dryly, his mouth pulled into a small smile.

“Don't get me wrong, I'd have loved to be with you! It's just Mark is more fitting for me,” Jackson says, grinning.

“Fine,” Jinyoung answers. He shakes Jackson's arm quickly off his shoulders and tells he has to hurry up for his next schedule.

Jackson frowns as he stares at Jinyoung's back.

“I'm boreeeeed!” Jackson announces with a loud voice as he flops down on Jinyoung's bed between Mark and Jinyoung who are reading their books comfortably, backs resting against the wall. Jackson bets Jinyoung must be reading something deep but boring and Mark his favorite comics for the hundredth time.

Jinyoung shoots Jackson an annoyed glance which isn't typical for him at all. “Go and play with Youngjae. We're reading here,” he tells Jackson and Jackson can't believe what he's hearing here. When did Jinyoung become so boring?

“Aw Jinyoungie, your'e breaking my heart!” Jackson slams his forehead.

“What are you talking about?” Jinyoung asks and shoots a helping look towards Mark who ignores the fuss around him completely and doesn't even bother raising his head up as he keeps reading and concentrating on his comic book.

“Come on Jinyoungie, give me a kiss and I'll leave you alone. Until next time of course, honey,” Jackson decides to continue his teasing but Jinyoung doesn't look amused even a bit and turns his head away.

“Are you up for some love, Mark?” Jackson tries to approach the other one.

“I'm out,” Jinyoung announces before Mark even gets a chance to answer, and tosses his book away. “I'm not in mood for these mindless jokes.”

Jackson frowns as he stares at Jinyoung stomping through the door. He's afraid he has a guess about the reason for Jinyoung's weird changed behavior.

“I asked Mark if I could tag along,” Jackson informs as Jinyoung raises his eyebrow questioningly at the sight of Jackson and Mark arriving at the cinema lobby.

The look on Jinyoung's face tells he wasn't expecting two people there. But who wouldn't want to see the whole movie about Minions? Especially when all the other members had already seen it and kept throwing jokes about it.

“I bought these snacks for us!” Jackson informs victoriously and shows the jumbo package of caramel popcorn in his hands, “I can sit in the middle so we can all share this together.”

“I thought you'd sit by the end of the row?” Jinyoung says when they start queueing for their movie hall but Jackson only pats his arm in a reassuring way.

“Originally I got a ticket next to Mark but he promised we could change the seats so it's easier to share the food,” Jackson explains happily and stuffs a handful of popcorn into his mouth.

“So that means I'm sitting next to you,” Jinyoung mumbles.

Jackson turns to look at Jinyoung. “What did you say?”

“Nothing,” Jinyoung says and sighs. “I should actually go to the toilet before the movie starts, excuse me. You can go inside without me.”

Jackson might not be the genius but he believes he finally knows the reason for Jinyoung acting so weird.

*****

“Junior is in love with me,” Jackson informs Jaebum who's half-lying-half-sitting on the living room couch, fiddling with a smartphone and their lovely puppy Coco sleeping tightly against his side.

“What?” Jaebum asks, confused.

“Jinyoung. He has a crush on me. I don't know how but he is in love with me,” Jackson repeats, nodding confidently.

Jaebum utters a short laugh. “And what has made you think so?”

“It's all about facts!”

“Care to explain more?” Jaebum can't help snorting.

Jackson explains. All the weird situations he had faced during the last three days - how Jinyoung keeps avoiding him because Jinyoung is afraid the urge to kiss Jackson would get too much, how Jinyoung keeps getting annoyed for not being able to spend time with Jackson during their variety shooting, how Jackson joking about kissing and hugging and dates makes Jinyoung uncomfortable because he'd actually like to do all those things with him for real.

The more Jackson keeps furiously explaining the more amused the look on Jaebum's face keeps getting.

“I don't want to break his heart and I don't know how to explain this to him but I have totally zero feelings towards him,” Jackson finishes.

Jaebum finally lets out a laugh.

“Are you laughing at him? Hey, I think it's a sensitive topic for Jinyoung so could you not--,” Jackson starts but Jaebum interrupts him.

“Jackson,” Jaebum starts, “You are an idiot.”

*****

The next day Jackson asks Bambam, Youngjae, Yugyeom and Jaebum to join him for a dinner at night.

Later when he comes back home he finds a fruit basket on his bed with a letter of thanks.
