[team five] gotta catch 'em all
so, everyone and their mom is playing pokemon go at the moment. so is chanyeol! we joked with friends how he would go around on his scooter at night, looking for pokemons, so. :D
just something short bc i'm a bit in a hurry!
”Will surviving this make me stronger as a person?” Sehun wonders out loud when Chanyeol hands him a white helmet.
”Don’t be so dramatic,” Chanyeol chuckles. ”I just asked you to be my driver for a bit.”
”In the middle of the night. So you can hunt Pokémon.”
“This is serious, Sehun-ah!” Chanyeol shakes his phone. “I want to be the best trainer. And catch a Geodude.”
“What if we run into bunch of fans and they take pics and upload them and–“
“There no one around at this hour. And even if there'd miraculously be some fans around, so what? They all probably play this, too. Come on!”
Sehun sighs but lets Chanyeol drag him to the door and out anyway. The older has promised to buy him a meal for this, and Sehun makes a mental note to pick the most expensive restaurant possible.
They hop on Chanyeol’s scooter and Sehun carefully curves to the street from the garage. The neighborhood looks deserted and quiet at that hour, just like they hoped but Sehun still has his doubts.
“Remember to go slowly!” Chanyeol reminds from behind him. He has the phone in his hand and sounds like an excited kid. Sehun rolls his eyes. Chanyeol has told him that he needs to stop as soon as he can when Chanyeol pats his shoulder in case they pass by a Pokémon or a Pokestop. Otherwise he’s been instructed to drive around (slowly) so Chanyeol can try to catch new Pokémons and “hatch his eggs”. (Sehun decides he doesn’t want to know.)
Half an hour, eight Pokémons (no Geodude) and dozen Pokestops later, they stop on a street corner. Sehun feels his butt getting numb on the uncomfortable scooter seat and is constantly worried that they’ll bump into random fans around the next corner. He would be ready to go back home but Chanyeol sounds like he’s just getting started.
“Still no Geodude! Damn, I want that so bad. There are only boring and basic Pokémons around here. And that one egg is still not ready...”
“Hyung, I’m tired.”
“Let’s continue for a while! I want to find some cool, new Pokémons–“
“But you said there are only boring ones in here. It’s no use!”
“Um, excuse me?”
Chanyeol and Sehun both turn their heads and see two middle school students looking at them. Both have their phones out and it’s not hard to guess what they are doing. The other one of them clears his throat.
“Um, just for the information, but there is a lure at a Pokestop in the park nearby,” the boy points. “If you want to catch some cooler Pokémons.”
“There is?” Chanyeol gets excited. “Wow okay, let’s go, Sehun! Thanks for the tip!”
Chanyeol happily waves at the boys and Sehun sighs, resigned. Again.
“I truly hope you’ll get that damn Geodude now so we can stop and go home.”
“Aw thanks, Sehunnie. You’re a great help! I can name one of my Pokémons after you, too.”
“Make sure it’s a cool one.”
