The things that the man — Hakyeon, his mind quickly supplied — had yelled at his back as he had walked away reverberated around his mind, the words ringing and echoing until all he wanted to do was lie down somewhere and sleep off the headache they had induced.

But he couldn’t afford to: it was still early in the day and there was a long list of things he needed to do, money he needed to earn to keep the shelter over his head intact.
