[team five] side by side (J-Hope/Jimin)
Fuck his lack of control for giving in too easily. He glares at Seokjin and Taehyung, who both look like they want to roll on the floor in laughter. Namjoon raises his hands up in defense when he turns towards him with a growl.
It's not like Hoseok planned this. It's not like Hoseok plans this. He doesn't wake up every morning with the idea of giving in to everything that Jimin asks of him. It just happens. It's not his fault that Jimin is just naturally persuasive.
Still, it doesn't help Hoseok calm down. His stomach is still swooping and he really feels like he's going to throw up at any moment. Just the thought of the open air around him and the free-fall, not to mention the actual jumping off of a plane, already makes him want to curl up and makes him want to die a little. But then he looks at Jimin, who's smiling so widely and excitedly, and his anxiety lessens. A little.
It probably won't be too bad. Skydiving does look like a fun thing to do. Except, you know, for people like Hoseok, who is terrified of everything. But, really, Jimin is having so much fun planning their little getaway that he doesn't have the heart to say anything to the contrary. The important thing is Jimin is happy. It probably won't be so bad.
"You okay?" Jimin asks him later on, when Taehyung, Namjoon, and Seokjin had finally gone and they're finally alone.
Hoseok takes a deep breath and nods. "Sure," he answers, taking Jimin's hand and kissing his fingers.
Jimin puts his phone down, turning his complete attention towards him with a frown on his lips. "Tell me," he insists, turning his hand so that he's holding Hoseok's instead.
Hoseok lets a chuckle out. He should say something. They're into the habit of talking about everything after all. "Don't you want to do something less terrifying than skydiving?" He says it teasingly because he doesn't want to make it into a big deal.
"I thought..." Jimin purses his lips and leans back on the couch. He looks like he's just realized what he's making Hoseok do. "Like what?" He raises his eyebrows.
"Like, I don't know," Hoseok says with a shrug. He comes up with a blank because he didn't think Jimin would consider it so easily. The moment Hoseok brought up going to Thailand or maybe Singapore for a trip, Jimin had immediately started looking for places to skydive at. "Having a kid seems less scary than jumping off a plane."
He freezes, avoiding Jimin's gaze, when he realizes what he just said. He did not just imply that he wants to start a family with Jimin.
"What?" Jimin's voice sounds weak. Hoseok winces at how it sounds.
Admittedly, Hoseok has thought about it. Having kids with Jimin. They've been married for a year and it's been an amazing year. And he's always wondered what it would be like when they finally started their family and expanded their life. But they've never really talked about it. Not seriously anyway.
"Uh." Hoseok chuckles, pulling his hand away. "Forget it." He was his hand dismissively. "I don't mind going skydiving with you." He gets up and stretches, grinning at Jimin and kissing him on the lips when he finds him frowning. "Don't worry about it, I promise," he insists. "I'm going to go get changed. I should leave for the school."
Hoseok lets out a breath once he's in the safety of their bedroom. That was way too close. He has no problem discussing children and having a family with Jimin; he wants those things. But it could be too soon for Jimin and he doesn't really want to spring something so important on him without any warning whatsoever.
Hoseok rummages through the closet, looking for something comfortable but presentable to wear. Whenever he goes to the school, it's usually for administrative things and for paperwork. Since he's expanded the school, having acquired the lot beside theirs and hiring more instructors, he's had less time to teach classes. But, once in a while, he still does when he feels like it, and, of course, he still dances at least three times a week. Maybe he'll stay behind after doing some work today so he should dress in sweatpants.
"So you don't mind having a kid with me?"
Hoseok collides with the closet door just as he's turning around towards the bed. He coughs, face heating up, as he rubs his forehead. "What?" he asks weakly this time.
Jimin presses his lips together in an effort not to laugh. "You don't mind," he repeats, giggling a little when Hoseok narrows his eyes at him, "having a kid. With me."
Hoseok sighs and sits on the edge of the bed, looking up at him. "What do you think? Of course I don't mind having a kid with you. I want to have a kid with you. Many kids, in fact. A whole lot of them." He might as well go the whole nine yards.
Jimin's gaze softens and he climbs on Hoseok, straddling his thighs and wrapping his arms around his neck. "Okay," he whispers, pressing a lingering kiss on Hoseok's lips. "I want that, too."
Hoseok sighs into the kiss and returns it, encircling his arms around Jimin's waist. "Okay," he responds softly.
He marvels at how easy it is with Jimin. Everything between them is simple and candid and wonderful. It doesn't mean that their relationship is perfect. Their relationship is far from perfect. But the hardships and the fights are very much overshadowed by all the beautiful things that they have together.
"You're my favorite husband in the world," Hoseok whispers through his lips.
"Good, because you're my favorite, too," Jimin whispers back. He presses one more kiss to his lips before hugging him tight. "I love you."
Hoseok pulls away with a laugh. "We're really doing this?"
Jimin smiles at him, cupping his face and pressing a kiss to his nose. "Yes, we're really doing this," he agrees. Hoseok beams at him. "But we're still going skydiving."
Hoseok groans as Jimin laughs almost evilly. "If I didn't love you so much..."
Jimin giggles, kissing him. "Don't worry. It'll be fun."
"Fine," Hoseok grumbles and gives in, like he usually does when it comes to Jimin. He'll get through it. He thinks he can get through anything with Jimin by his side.
