I have so many parts to this confounded story that I guess FMA merits a fandom tag now...I should get on that.
“I don’t have a death wish, thank you very much,” he adds, rolling his eyes.
“I beg to differ,” a voice says, the speaker approaching from behind. Ed doesn’t even bother to turn around.
“Oh, are we begging now?” he asks, and pretends to ignore Hawkeye’s sigh. Wow, his fingernails are really dirty, must be all the dirt in the capitol.
“If by we you mean the royal—“ Roy, the asshat, starts but Ed is already on damage control.
“—nope!” he interrupts, glancing over his shoulder, not up. “Don’t even start.” He can’t see Roy’s face from this angle but he’s not going to make any accommodations for the overgrown giant and just glares at his Adam’s apple. “And I didn’t miss you at all, so don’t even ask.”
