The ending words I had gave me the perfect opportunity to work on this ochamina fic again. Why is Mina so fun but so hard to write??

"Which do you choose when you want to try something new?" she continues, shooting a curious glance over to Ochako, who just purses her lips thoughtfully at the question.

"Whichever brand is cheapest," she finally answers.

"Ochakoooo," Mina jokingly whines at the non-helpful answer.

"Kidding! Well, mostly," she says, opening up one of the freezer doors. It immediately cloaks them both in a rush of frigid air. "Sometimes I just pick the brightest and most eye-catching label I see."

She grabs a colorful carton labeled strawberry cheesecake swirl.

Mina takes the advice to heart and zeroes in on a multicolored monstrosity boasting three different ice cream flavors and a ton of rainbow sprinkles. She has no idea if it'll taste good but she'll definitely try it.

Ochako's eyes widen in reverent awe. "I've never seen that flavor before. You'll have to let me know if it's any good. It looks exciting but I bet it can't touch the mochi."

"We shall see!" Mina's fingers feel like they're permanently frozen to the sides of the cold carton, but she ignores it. "You haven't changed your number, have you?"

"No way," Ochako shakes her head.

"Good. I'll keep you posted," Mina replies.

Ochako smiles, and suddenly Mina can't feel the chill of the frozen foods section anymore. There's just something about this girl that melts her heart.

"I've got a few more things to pick up, but I'll talk to you later, yeah?" Ochako says, already pushing her cart down the aisle again.

"Definitely!" Mina calls out after her with a wave she cheerfully returns before rounding the corner out of sight.

She lets out a sigh as soon as she's alone again. Yep, it's definitely a crush and she has no idea what to do about it.
