[Team Four] The Stars Led Me to You part 2
Whew, I made it!
Jisung/Seungmin (Stray Kids), PG, 1369w
“-right now?”
Jisung nods, stray strands of hair flopping into his eyes. Jisung huffs, flicking his hair out of his face, but when he looks back at Seungmin, he seems to look even more pitiful than before.
Seungmin, though, isn’t amused, nor is he swayed by the cute look. Seungmin’s already told him he doesn’t want to go out and play multiple times now, but it doesn’t seem to be getting through Jisung’s thick skull.
Normally, Seungmin would be ecstatic Jisung’s asking him to hang out, especially considering he hasn’t seen Jisung in what seems like weeks. In reality, it’s only been a few days, but the point still stands that Seungmin has been conspicuously Jisung-less for far longer than usual. Jisung’s been spending all of his spare time with Minho, which Seungmin is perfectly okay with. He had been so happy for Jisung when he all but sprinted into Seungmin’s room last week to tell him that he and Minho were finally together, but Seungmin misses Jisung. He doesn’t miss him whining and begging to do something Seungmin’s already told him he doesn’t want to do, but at the end of the day, Seungmin has really missed Jisung.
But if Jisung asks him to go outside and shift one more time, so help him.
“Please?” Jisung asks, widening his eyes and clasping his hands together.
Seungmin knows that he should be happy Jisung wants to hang out with him, but between his own feelings and puberty coursing through his veins and the way his bones ache as his wolf changes, Seungmin just can’t. The memory of the last time they went to play outside still lingers in the back of Seungmin’s mind, the surprised flush to Jisung’s cheeks and widened eyes playing like a movie Seungmin can’t turn off. Seungmin knows that if he agrees to Jisung’s whining and begging, he’s going to end up kissing Jisung. His wolf perks up at the thought of finally being able to properly show Jisung affection, but Seungmin ignores it.
Gritting his teeth, Seungmin says, “I said no Jisung.”
It’s quiet for a few minutes where Seungmin thinks he’s either actually gone too far or Jisung’s finally understood that Seungmin doesn’t want to play, but then Jisung softly asks, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing,” Seungmin dismisses quickly. His irritation is increasing with every second that Jisung keeps pestering him, but he can’t let Jisung know yet about what’s really bothering him, he can’t. Not when his relationship with Minho is still so fresh.
“It’s clearly not nothing if it’s bothering you this much,” Jisung responds.
Seungmin sighs. He doesn’t like how valid that point is, not when he’s trying so hard to keep this secret a secret for just a little bit longer. “It’s really nothing, I promise. It will go away soon.”
Jisung tuts, a familiar fire sparking in his eyes that reminds Seungmin of months and months ago when they were constantly at each other’s throats. Chan has talked to them about their behavior and how to communicate better since then and Seungmin’s proud to say they’ve been doing so well. But Seungmin can feel the lingering, once-buried urge to fight back flare up within him as if it was never gone as he watches Jisung’s expression flicker from irritation to teasing. Jisung’s always been the more emotional of the pups, more often than not driven by his emotions than his logic, so it doesn’t surprise Seungmin in the slightest that Jisung’s falling into old habits. They’ve always been too hard to break for Jisung.
“Healthy communication, remember,” Jisung taunts. “You’re going to need to tell me exactly what you want.”
Something in Seungmin snaps. Seungmin pulls him closer by the collar, Jisung’s eyes widening at the sudden movement and the sudden proximity. “This is me telling you to kiss me already. Is that clear enough for you?”
It’s so quiet, Seungmin swears he could hear a pin drop from across the house, supernatural hearing or not. Jisung’s cheeks flush, his eyes darting from Seungmin’s eyes to his lips. Jisung licks his own lips, Seungmin’s traitorous eyes following the movement with rapt attention.
“U-uh. Yeah. I guess it is,” Jisung eventually whispers.
Gently, because even though Seungmin feels as if he’s about to vibrate out of his skin from how nervous he suddenly is he would never purposely hurt Jisung, Seungmin pushes Jisung down onto his bed and crawls over him until their lips are centimeters apart.
Seungmin can hear his heartbeat in his ears and nothing else, heart pounding away to such a fast beat that Seungmin worries it will fly right out of his chest and into Jisung’s waiting palms any second. Jisung’s looking up at Seungmin with the galaxy in his eyes, beautiful and perfect and Seungmin’s so in love with him that he aches.
“Okay?” Seungmin whispers.
Through the sound of his heartbeat, Seungmin hears Jisung gulp. “Okay.”
The second their lips touch, all of the irritation, all of the frustration, in Seungmin’s body evaporates. This isn’t the first time they’ve kissed, far from it, but it sure feels like it is. Seungmin doesn’t know if it’s the lingering emotions in the air or if it’s the fact that Seungmin’s finally asked for what he wants and Jisung easily agreed. Seungmin doesn’t know and he doesn’t care. All that matters right now is the feeling of Jisung’s soft, plush lips against his and the way Jisung wraps his arms around Seungmin’s shoulders and pulls him closer.
Seungmin doesn’t want to part from Jisung, but they both have to breathe, as unfortunate as that is. He doesn’t go far, Jisung chasing him for more kisses much like he did the last time they ended up in this position. Seungmin can’t help but smile into the next kiss Jisung presses to his lips.
“What?” Jisung asks. He sounds happy and the sparkle to his eyes only confirms it. Seungmin kisses him again just because he can, heart skipping a beat when Jisung lets out a surprised, yet pleased, sound.
“I’m just happy,” Seungmin responds when he finally manages to pull away. He never knew how addictive Jisung’s kisses were, although now he supposes it makes sense that he always sees Chan or Hyunjin or Minho pulling him into their laps for cuddles and kisses. He would, too.
The smile Jisung sends him is brighter than the sun, only dimmed marginally by the slow, sleepy way he’s starting to blink. Seungmin’s amused more than anything - only Jisung would be able to start falling asleep this easily, especially after the argument they just had, if one could even call it that. He knows they should talk about it, about them and what they are and what this all means to them, but Jisung’s already blinking slower, each blink heavier and longer than the last. Seungmin’s already waited this long to tell Jisung how he feels, a few more hours or days won’t hurt him.
So it’s with a soft smile and a kiss to Jisung’s forehead that Seungmin says, “Sleep, Sung.”
“No,” Jisung responds stubbornly. “Need to...need to talk.”
His eyes aren’t even open anymore so he misses the fond look Seungmin sends him. He’s sure his heart is on his sleeve right now, but Seungmin can’t find it in himself to care too much. Ever since he’s started living here, he’s learned that it’s okay to show emotions and how he’s feeling. Hyunjin’s helped him a lot in that regard, but so has everyone else.
“We can talk later, I promise,” Seungmin says. God, he’s so in love with Jisung.
Jisung slowly lifts up a hand, Seungmin laughing when he sees Jisung’s pinky held out towards the door instead of towards Seungmin. Seungmin links their pinkies anyways, turning their hands and pressing a soft kiss to Jisung’s knuckles. Jisung smiles.
“Love you,” Jisung mumbles sleepily and then he’s out like a light, falling asleep against Seungmin’s chest and completely unaware of what those words have just done to Seungmin.
Seungmin shakes his head softly, pressing another kiss to Jisung’s knuckles.
Soon. He’ll be able to tell Jisung soon.
It's your turn now,
damagea!
