[Team sonic] Tuesday, continued
I meant to post this yesterday lol. It's a semi-follow up to my last post. Anyway, continuing this round of sonic! Starting words are from the spark
Stargate SG-1, short, g-rated
"I need to make a call," Jack says, casually, as if he's not clearly stalling for time as he stares down a Jaffa and his pointed staff weapon. "It's very important. You see, it's great aunt Edna's birthday."
The Jaffa looks confused but doesn't lower his weapon.
"It's her birthday," Jack continues, "and Daniel here forgot her gift. So we've got to call and let her know we'll be late for the party."
Daniel raises his eyebrows before nodding in agreement. "Uh, yeah, kind of a distracting day." He gestures vaguely at their surroundings inside the pyramid as if that explains it.
The Jaffa soldier still looks painfully confused by their babbling.
"So anyway..." Jack begins, inching away from the tip of the staff weapon. "We'll just be on our way. Don't want to keep great auntie Edna waiting. She's very cranky in her old age."
It's at this moment Teal'c emerges from the shadows and stuns the Jaffa with a zat.
"Finally," Jack exclaims as he steps over the unconscious soldier. "I'm not sure he was buying my cover story."
"You think?" Daniel deadpans.
"We must hurry," Teal'c interrupts, reminding them that there's still more to do. "Major Carter will need our assistance in lowering the shields."
"Maybe she'll have better ideas on how to stall a Jaffa," Daniel jokes.
Jack leads the way as they run deeper into the complex, shaking off Daniel's dismay. "Okay, I admit I've had better days."
As a general reminder, anyone is welcome to participate in sonic regardless of your team~
