[Team One] Finding Storybrooke

~500 words of g rated kingdom hearts/once upon a time crossover with pining Riku looking for Sora with the help of some new friends.
"Oh, what do you know?" Riku asked, crossing his arms. "You ever lose someone important to you and cross realities to bring them back?"

"Well, yes." The woman who had introduced herself as Snow White crossed her own arms and Riku felt his face hear up in shane a bit. He knew that "disappointed mom voice" when he heard it. The baby in her arms gurgled, as if in agreement.

"Many times," her husband, David, added.

Riku sighed, rubbing under his eyes to dispel both gathered tears and embarrassment. "Sorry, I—"

"I believe that out if everyone in town, you're talking to the two people who can understand your situation most," another voice spoke up.

Riku glanced over to the corner where the man who had brought him here to the diner. His black leather jacket almost— but didn't quite— conceal the silver hook on his left hand. The hook that had definitely put Riku in edge at first.

"You've crossed worlds to find Emma too, Hook," snow white said, reaching out to squeeze hooks hand.

Riku groaned sitting down, "Sorry, it's just...alot… I mean. Snow… atleast the snow I know just turned 18 and—"

"Another time travel spell?" The hooked man groaned.

"No!" Riku protested, atleast… I don't think so?? I just meant that… I know snow white and… I'm confused."

"Oh don't worry," the man with a hook took a seat next to Riku. "If your partial to rum, it takes the confusion off."

"Rum doesn't solve life's problems," snow white sighed.

"It solves enough if them."

Snow white shook her head, turning back to Riku. "If it helps, people here call me Mary Margaret."

Taking a deep breath to regain his composure, Riku smiled. "ok. So… this place is… storybrooke right? And you guys are… fairy tales?"

"Our stories ended up here as fairy tales," snow white explained.

"Some better told than others," Hook took a swig from his glass.

"I guess henry finally showed you the movie?" David's grin grew as hook took another, deeper, gulp of liquor.

"I still can't believe Pan ended up as the hero in that movie?"

Riku's brow furrowed. Pan? As in — "Peter pan? So… Then you're actually Captain Hook?"

"Yes, though I believe I'm much more dashing in the flesh."

Riku thought back to his own experience with Captain Hook. "Yeah that I agree with."

"So you're looking for your, uh—"

"Sora," Riku said, "I'm looking for Sora… He's my— well… He is my best friend, but—"

He trails off, not sure what to call Sora. Best friend still fit but… ever since he managed to admit it out loud to the Fairy Godmother, he hasn't been able to stop thinking of Sora as his "true love." It may not be returned, but it was true.

"Well… My Sora," he finished lamely.

A warmth on his hand drew Riku's head up, finding Snow White smiling reassuringly.

"You'll find him Riku. And we'll help in any way we can."

"That's right," David assured. "If there's one think this family does best, it's finding people."

Riku smiled back, feeling a lot better. They would find Sora.

It was time for his wish to come true.
