Welcome to everyone who's participating this round, and best wishes to those who are stepping out.

If you're new (or even if you're not) you can find the full rules (now updated and overhauled!) on the rules tag (always the most recent post). If you want a quick guide, the short version of the rules on the community profile is a handy reference.

Of course, if you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask Mousi (on the Discord server, remousapelli or email) or ansa (on the Discord server or email). You can also reach the mods in general by email, or by tagging @mod on the Discord server. I'll also remind everyone that we do have the shiritori/sonic shiritori collections on Ao3. We also have a Twitter account writetomyheart that tweets all posts made to the LiveJournal/Dreamwidth communities unless they're member-locked. I do try to monitor this Twitter, but the above contact methods are best. The Discord server also has a #shiritori-timeline channel, that unites all (unlocked) posts from LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, and Ao3.

The new line ups have been added to the LiveJournal and Dreamwidth community sidebars, and to the #posting-order channel on Discord.

Some quick reminders and updates:

• We're now doing fully mixed teams, so the number after each pseudonym means that person's turn length.
• I've given up on using platform-based username tags since platforms are changing all the time, so these lists name players by the fannish pseudonym provided in their sign up. If you'd like this changed, please let me know! (Player tags haven't changed, so again, let me know if you would like a change.)
• Anyone is allowed to jump in and play sonic, as long as you pay attention to the three-day expiry date for each sonic story. The team list is just a role (@teamsonic) on the Discord server that notifies you that there's a new post (depending on your discord notification settings, please use the tag if posting), and/or indicates your general interest in playing.
• For LiveJournal and Dreamwidth: new writer tags have been created and initialized (these are the love ranger: [username] tags). If you would like your tag to be changed, please let us know.
• For LiveJournal and Dreamwidth: quick reminder that we have specific fandom tags as well as general fandom tags. If there isn’t a specific fandom tag, but you expect to write it frequently, please let us know and we’ll be happy to make it. However, we prefer not to make a tag for every one-off fandom, since we do have the general fandom tags which work well. A general guideline is a new fandom tag at ~10 posts.

Other notes:

• For LiveJournal: the LiveJournal community (writetomyheart) continues to be exported (manually) to this Dreamwidth community as a back-up.
• For LiveJournal and Dreamwidth: a quick reminder/update about titles/headers: when posting, please title your post with the team name (i.e. [team one]) before the (optional) title. In the past, we've generally included the characters/fandom, rating, word count, and any potential warnings in the cut tag text. However, with more use of the RSS, let's try to include this information (a single line is fine) above the cut. An example would be: "Peter/Thomas (Rivers of London); PG; 450 words; violence".
• For posting directly to Discord, please post the link to the text (unless it's unposted) in your team channel, include the last sentence of your text, and @ the next person on your team.
• If you are posting to the LiveJournal or Dreamwidth communities but have your text elsewhere, post a link to your text (unless it's unposted), include the last sentence of your text, and include the username of the next person on your team, or their LiveJournal tag if they're on LiveJournal.
• If you're posting your text on Ao3, it would be great if you could include your fic in the shiritori or sonic shiritori collection. Also, please remember to use the Community: write to my heart freeform tag.

Thank you to our captains! Please assume that everyone needs to be poked unless they tell you otherwise. Since we are now using an Airtable sign up form, we now have a different team contact information page. I'll share updated links to this in the #captains channel on Discord.
