Parallel World
I needed to get this out of my system. It doesn't read very smoothly, I'm afraid but I couldn't fill in the gaps... ~_~ which is why this has been sitting around forever. Hope you still enjoy it! [Also, please look at the warning tag XD]
Parallel World
Waiting had never been their cup of tea. She and her friends had always been proactive. When something required an action, they would act. It was as easy as that. Or at least, it sounded easy.
Her eyes scanned the crowd in the club and she sighed softly. The others had told her it would be fun and she would get what she was looking for in no time but apparently things weren’t going as well for her as they were apparently going for her friends. Looking around, she couldn’t even see them anymore. They had all vanished somewhere in the crowd. Or maybe they had gone elsewhere already. Considering where they were, there were plenty of options in the area where people could just disappear to for a couple of hours or longer to have some more fun.
She had imagined her life after finally graduating from high school to be more exciting. Also, she had expected there to be more men she’d actually be interested in. Attending a girls-only school had effectively kept her away from guys until now. But now, standing in a club full of potential suitors, she found herself unwilling to even look at some of them. Their taste in fashion was horrible!
Finally, her eyes fell onto somebody who might be of interest. She liked his clothes, especially the leopard print. It was daring and yet fashionable. She liked that.
Checking her appearance once more in a mirror, she then made her way over. She could feel many pairs of eyes following her and basked in the attention. The way she held herself clearly signaled to others that she was out of their reach, out of their league.

Some things only happened in movies or books. Some worlds only existed in your mind, they were fantasy worlds created by your imagination or that of another person. Those worlds exist but they were never ‘real’ – you weren’t able to walk in those worlds under normal circumstances. That’s why they were called fantasy worlds after all.
And yet it may happen that the real world and the fantasy one overlap.
It was a rare thing for all seven of them to go to a club. Usually those occasions would be drama wrap-up parties and the like, official things where their presence was requested. This time was a little bit like that, just without the official pretext. It was still for work and at the same time, it wasn’t.
“I don’t see why ALL of us had to be here,” Tamamori looked at the six others.
“Isn’t this more dangerous, too?” Yokoo frowned as well.
Kitayama shrugged, “Don’t look at me. I’m not the person with apparent scandal shortage.” Then he looked around the club. “But if we’re here already we might as well have fun. None of us is too young for this kind of stunt but I’ll have your asses if you drink too much and cause trouble. Okay?”
Nikaido and Senga were quick to join the crowd on the dance floor of the VIP area. Miyata looked a bit lost and just sat at a table for now to watch but Tamamori, apparently having had a bit to drink already, seemed out to coax the other out to go dancing with him. Miyata’s resolve looked like it would be melting any moment now.
Yokoo was out at the bar and chatting to people as well. Kitayama sighed at the only person left next to him. “What are you still doing here? Get out there. Nobody’s going to mind your girly drink or anything.”
“I’ll dump this girly drink on your head if you say one more word,” Fujigaya grumbled but then got going. He’d just forget about Kitayama and have fun. He liked to be out dancing after all. Dancing by yourself wasn’t fun though so he just walked along the edge of the dance floor for a bit, looking for someone who might catch his fancy. He could do this. Yes.
It didn’t take long for someone to approach him. “Want to dance?” a silky voice asked from behind him and he turned around, seductive smile in place on his lips.
“Su-” the rest of his reply got stuck in his throat when he looked at the girl’s face. What in the world…?

She approached the person and asked him to dance. When he turned around, her eyes widened and all coherent thought flew out of her mind for a few long moments.
“Oh, check it out, Kenko! Tai-chan actually approached a guy!” she could hear an all too familiar voice from her right. But Tai-chan was too stunned to actually react. This guy was…this guy looked…
“Hey Taipi, if you’re going to dance then you should get mo…ving,” a male voice could be heard from the left but apparently the words died in whoever’s throat as well at the sight they were seeing.
“He’s cute, Takako!”
“Who are you looking at Kenko? You’re mine!”
“Aw, don’t be jealous! We wanted to have fun with some boys tonight, right?”
“Eh? Wait, hey where are you taking Kenpi?”
The commotion next to her snapped Tai-chan out of her stupor and she actually turned to look at what her two friends were doing. Only to have her mouth fall open in shock once more. What was going on?
~*~
“God, you’ll never get anywhere like this,” a new voice joined in from somewhere further down.
Tai-chan glared down at the shorter girl. “Shut up!”
“I will. But before I do that, let me help you,” Hiroko shoved Tai-chan into the guy’s arms. And by the law of all cheesy dramas, novels and anime of course their faces were pushed together in just the right way so that they ended up kissing.
“My job here is done,” Hiroko looked at her own companion. “Now, where were we?”
Kitayama chuckled softly and wrapped his arm around her waist, “I think I like you. Thanks for helping out our ‘problem child’.”
“I figured it would end up like this,” she smiled at the other. “Did you ever tell the others about your little key to this place? Or would they just think you’d completely gone round the bend in India?”
“They would probably fear that the Indian sun burned some of my brain cells, yes. After all, it would be little bit hard to believe that somebody actually possessed a key to a parallel world where you can meet your own female alter egos.”
