yeah idek what this is. blame rosie.
"Him?!" Fujigaya said, more to himself than anyone else, seeing as he was alone and he had already been dubbed as the town crazy since finding himself in this strange land. All right -- it wasn't that strange seeing as he could recognize Pokemon when he saw them, having played the games when he was younger, but it was a different thing entirely to actually have to survive and fend for yourself rather than just walk a tiny, pixelated character around all over the damn place and, if one was diligent enough, traverse through two towns in one sitting.
As for reality, Fujigaya had gotten stuck in Mt. Coronet for three days, couldn't seem to inspire the generosity that most people in the game seemed to have, and generally speaking, was miserable. He had no real place to stay, Pokemon Center food was getting old, and had no real purpose to his life. At least, that was up to a few days ago. Because a few days ago, Fujigaya decided to go for the tried and true dream, season after season -- become Pokemon Master. At least he'd do better than Ash...not like that was hard.
Besides, if Miyata was the first gym leader he had to fight through, then all of this being a challenge was probably a joke.
Still, seeing his bandmate after spending months thinking he was all alone was a shock if there ever was one.
"You've been here all this time and you failed to let me know?! What the hell is this?" Fujigaya demanded. Not that it was any right of his, really, considering that it wasn't as if he had spent the past few months trying to reach anyone he thought he knew, either. "And now I'm expected to believe that this little backwater town named you their gym leader?"
Fujigaya glared daggers at him. Miyata, to his credit, only grinned sheepishly and waved.
"You know, if you want to be the best like no one ever was, you're going to have to beat me," Miyata piped up. He considered that for a moment. "That knowledge must be driving you crazy, huh."
"You know what," Fujigaya griped, getting his battle mode on, which really just included a few more glares thrown Miyata's way. "You're going down, Miyata. Down."
The grin that Miyata replied with is one that Fujigaya never got used to, never really saw before today. It was smug and somehow, he made smug work. "Oh no, Gaya-san. I think you're in for a ride."
