[Team One] Can't Always Get What You Want
But sometimes you get what you need? Or Miyata does, anyway.
A bitter smile forms on his lips, but it's hard to keep it there when Miyata is skimming warm hands down his side and nosing at the skin just behind his ear.
"Don't be mad, Tama-chan," Miyata murmurs, pressing a kiss just at Tamamori's hairline.
"You promised you wouldn't—"
"They already knew," Miyata interrupts, still trailing kisses across the back of Tamamori's neck, and the way his irritation is trying to melt away just makes him more irritated.
"You still shouldn't have—"
"It's not going to change anything."
"Then why do it?" Tamamori snaps. "Why would you do that in front of staff and everybody?" Tamamori twists around, but Miyata's grip doesn't break, only slides down to his waist, arms still tight around Tamamori.
"Because you belong to me," Miyata says, gaze calm and steady. "Because I sing just as well as Kitamitsu and dance better than Fujigaya, and nobody gets to do a grabby romance-type duet with you but me. And if they don't like it, they can try making Nika-chan their next experimental frontman and see how far that gets them."
It's the way he says it, looking right into Tamamori's eyes and meaning every word, that makes Tamamori both blush and squirm.
"Why are you so confident and saying all this cool shit?" Tamamori grumbles, thinking about fourteen and seventeen and twenty-year-old Miyata, shy and awkward and getting yelled at by staff nearly as much as Tamamori. "Go back to the Miyacchi who just did whatever I said."
"Love doesn't work like that." Miyata kisses the tip of Tamamori's nose. "Maybe I can't make them use me or Ken-chan or Nika or Yokoo better, and maybe I'll never have a sexy solo, but I don't care about any of that so long as everyone understands that you're mine."
"You're a fucking nut," Tamamori sighs, but doesn't struggle when Miyata kisses him firmly, pressing them close together.
In the end Miyata doesn't exactly get his whole way, but he doesn't seem terribly put out that Kitayama gets thrown into their grabby romance-type duet.
"Ooh, threeway," Miyata says with a leer, nudging at Tamamori's knee with his own. "I can work with that~."
"Ugh, seriously, Miyacchi," Tamamori hisses at him while Kitayama laughs and the staff members wrinkle their noses. Then Miyata grabs his hand under the table and laces their fingers together, and Tamamori wonders if it's too late to defect and join Sexy Zone, before Miyata tells all the magazines exactly where all of his sexy zones are.
Across the table Fujigaya, who is stuck with Senga and Nikaido and clearly the third wheel, looks like he might be contemplating the same plan.
