[Team One] I'll Find You, I Promise
Yo! Here, have a Fujigaya-centric drabble set in my as-of-yet unwritten Mirror!verse 8D;;
The charm jingled as it shook in the gentle breeze.
"Keep it on you always," Hiromitsu had said when he had handed the bracelet to Fujigaya. "Wataru and I both have matching ones too," he had added, gently rolling back the left sleeve of his robe to show Fujigaya that he was indeed wearing a replica of the jewellery he was giving the other man. "I've cast a spell on them so that they'll react when at least two of them are close to each other; not too close, mind you, like we are now, because we'd be face to face then, but close enough that we'll know one of us is nearby."
Then, before Fujigaya could even protest, the Caster had fastened the bracelet, adorned with a simple roller skate charm Fujigaya had designed, around Fujigaya's wrist and to this day, Fujigaya had never thought of taking it off, not even once.
The light tinkling sound drew Fujigaya out of his memories because there was no breeze ghosting over his cheeks anymore, and yet the metal charm continued to vibrate.
He's not entirely certain what it meant, really. At the time, Hiromitsu had explained that there were no other gateways open, nor any way of opening any new gateways; the power to do so had died long ago, buried along with the last of the Casters able to wield Ancient Magic. Just before Fujigaya stepped through the mirror that had brought him to Elsevier - the mirror that would now take him back - they had said goodbye, and the farewell had sounded so final that Fujigaya didn't dare to hope. It couldn't be possible... could it?
The jangling sound stopped, and Fujigaya's heart stopped with it.
"Hey," greeted an all too familiar voice.
Fujigaya couldn't look up fast enough.
