[Team 1] Fear is the mind killer

A continuation of last time and the Johnny's Number One Idol contest. Which is perhaps cheating a bit, but getting settled into Tokyo is taking much much longer than I thought. But i have internet already!! So yay!!
Note: some dialogue borrowed from Dune, since it was sitting. And the first thing that came to mind. Which might be cheating.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”  Miyata took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves, before he began again. “Fear is the mind killed. Fear is the little—“

“Miyacchi, what are you muttering over here?” Tamamori scoots over to where Miyata was mumbling to himself in a corner.

At first, when they had seen the Johnny’s number one idol contest fliers everyone had thought it was a joke. Until Julie had come around to all their dressing rooms asking who their representative was going to be. It had turned into a Tokyo Dome event, with tickets, goods, and a panel of judges. Apparently, rumor had it, Matsumoto Jun had planned the entire thing, and the events that Matsumoto put on were always spectacular.

It had taken a little more digging to find out which junior had made the offensive comments (and plunged all of the agency into this dimension of hell that Miyata thought would make an amazing plot to an anime), and when they had gotten the information from Ninomiya and Aiba, he had been assured that the issue would not happen again and the junior had learned his lesson.

It made Miyata want to never ever ever cross his senpai.

And so now, as the chosen representative of Kisumai (he had lost at janken) was waiting to attempt to represent Kisumai to the best of his ability.

Fujigaya had pulled him aside, and quite seriously informed him, that if he did manage to win, it might ruin their careers, so please try not to upstage Matsumoto-senpai, and Kitayama had mentioned that if he didn’t try at all it might damage Kisuma’s appeal.

He was between a rock and a hard place, that is for sure.

“Nothing, just something to calm down.” Miyata answered, after Tamamori bumped into his again, insisting on an answer. “You should go take a seat, it begins soon.” Miyata muttered distractedly, and Tamamori hmmed, before shuffling away, his eyes glancing all around the backstage area.

He  could hear Tegoshi breagging that he had this in the bag, since he had gotten to grope Ninomiya-senpai during the Johnny’s medly, and he could hear Koki snap back that groping Ninomiya meant nothing.

Miyata would agree, since if Matsumoto-senpai were not in the competition that might mean something, but Ninomiya grabbed and groped everyone (though not in a creepy way, since Ninomiya-senpai wasn’t a creeper like that, despite the way the thought sounded).

He could also hear Nishikaido-senpai grumbling that this contest was so biased, with NInomiya, Toma, and Nagase as judges and Miyata wondered how much of that was true, or how the judging panel had even been decided.

The back of the stage well quiet at Matsumoto-senpai appeared from around a corner and his smile was bright, dazzling, and every bit the idol that he was.

“Everybody ready?”  He asked, though is gaze was mostly focused on his own senpai, Matsuoka and Nakai, though he did look at each and every one of the contestants. Miyata notices that Matsumoto senpai oozed confidence, nothing cocky like Koki and Tegoshi were attempting to exude earlier, when they were in a little snarkfest on why was going to win this, and the solid confidence that Matsuoka-senpai exhibited, but the kind of assurance that did not even contemplate failure.

Ready or not, they didn’t have a choice, as the music started up for their grand entrance.

Miyata spoke, his voice soft, though Matsumoto flashed a smile at him, obviously having heard him.

“May the best idol win.”

Hi! Mod here, just dropping in for a quick reminder. The round moved on before I noticed this, but this would normally result in the round being lost. However! Your beginning word ("I") is not the same as the previous player's ending word ("fears"). While you can use the entire ending sentence, your sentence only mirrors the gist of it. This is just a reminder/warning for the future!

oh goodness gracious X_X I am so sorry, sometimes players forget to check the actual order in the sidebar. I can slip you into the next turn, if you'd like. :( I'm super sorry about that. (And I'll make a post about it on the comm. Sorry I didn't even notice. x:)
