[Team Two] Rumors
Ok so I took my turn XD
I have no idea where this came from, or if it's any good. I didn't really look it over much either. But I wanted to write something. My muse has pretty much been on vacation from me since the end of finals.
Anyways, have depressing and angry Shintaro, with depressed Juri with a one-sided crush.
Also, Shintaro and Jesse swear a lot in the beginning just to warn you.
“An excuse?” Shintaro couldn't believe his own ears. He stood up and glared. How the fuck does Jesse Lewis get off saying such things. “Seriously? I'm not fucking gay, unlike you asshole.” He snarled back.
Jesse sat in the almost empty dressing room, a bored look on his face. “You're running away. You don't even want to think about the possibility that you like Juri. That you could actually like guys.” If Jesse was in any way offended by Shintaro's jab, he didn't show it.
Shintaro's hair practically bristled at the mention of Juri. They had been friends for so long, there was no way that he didn't like Juri. Just not the way everyone and their mother was making it out to be. He was certain that he did not act any differently about Juri than he did any of his other friends. “I don't like him. I am not fucking kidding, stop believing and spreading those rumors!”
Jesse sighed, Shintaro was convinced that he was spreading around rumor after rumor about Shintaro having a crush on Juri. “I keep telling you. I'm not spreading anything, I made a joke, to your faces I might add, about it. I didn't start the damn thing. You can't even see your own reactions around him. Stop dicking around and start paying attention to yourself.”
Shintaro glared at Jesse as he paced around the room. The rumors had been going around for years, but it was only in the last three months that they took an unwelcome turn. The current hot story was about Shintaro jacking off to Juri's picture when he was home. Just thinking about it made Shintaro's blood boil.
Jesse had apparently had enough of Shintaro's bullshit and got up from his spot. He shot Shintaro a cold stare before he left. “Stop being a fucking idiot. Either ignore what people say, or prove that you don't swing that way.”
The door slammed after Jesse's exit. Shintaro was still so angry. He was straight, he had to be. Sure everyone in the agency knew they had to fool around with one another for the fangirls, it was in their contracts practically, but that was about the end of it. Sure the some of the senpai fooled around, and some of the juniors were known to be together, but that was all Shintaro cared to know about the subject. He himself was not involved out of what was absolutely necessary.
“You know if you keep pacing like that your going to cause the floor to cave in.” Juri's voice caused Shintaro to freeze. He hadn't heard the older junior come into the room. “Where have you been? Seems like I don't see you lately.”
Shintaro cringed at Juri's concerned voice. It wasn't Juri's fault that Shintaro was so angry. “Yeah, just wanted to stop giving fire to those god damn rumors,” Shintaro looked to the linoleum floor as he thought about what he overheard some of the other juniors talking about.
“They're just rumors. You should know to ignore them.” Juri's voice sounded a bit cold as he spoke. Shintaro shrugged it off, he figured that Juri was feeling the same annoyance that he was.
“Yeah, I mean, there is no way I would be gay, specially for you. No offense,” Shintaro shook his head. Juri was still just his best friend, and he was right. There was no need for him to be so angry about this, or waste his energy thinking about it all.
“Sure, I know that,” Juri refused to look at Shintaro, he couldn't. He felt that familiar lump in his throat form.
“Ah, well time to get back I guess. I'm still pissed, but whatever. Let's go,” Shintaro spoke through the fog that had clouded Juri's brain. Juri hummed at him in compliance, as Shintaro walked out of the room. He flicked the light off leaving Juri behind him in mostly darkness.
Juri found it a fitting view. Shintaro walked away from him, and he was left in the dark, forever to feel something that would not be returned. “You may not be interested Shin, but that doesn't mean I'm not.” Juri walked through the door and into the light, Shintaro was already several feet ahead of him.
He could live with Shintaro not liking him back, for now. Shintaro and Juri walked into the practice room where most of their old Bakaleya cast was hanging around. Jesse caught Juri's eye with a sympathetic face that was gone in moments. Nothing he could do about it, Juri reasoned, it was a battle for another day.
For now he would just have to go about with his tall tales, and hope that one day his crazy ones about Shintaro and himself would be true. “Hey guys, did you hear about that escaped killer monkey?”
