[Team One] no matter how far you run, the darkness will follow (cont.)

who needs original titles when they're in the same verse??? not me pft

Remember last week with the demons and the tying Kitayama to a chair? Yeah, well here's more of that :D I realize it's going from wtfary to angst and it's so great, I hope I can keep it going.

Friends is not something that Kitayama and Fujigaya ever were. He finds the idea laughable at best, snickering at the notion that he ever once considered his relationship with the demon (before he knew Fujigaya was a demon) something more that mild comradery, or sexual.

Fujigaya refuses to let him forget the sexual aspect. Asshole.

The sad thing is, Kitayama almost wishes they could go back to that. To before Fujigaya was exposed for what he is, what he does, to when Kitayama would toy with the idea of actually enjoying Fujigaya's company more so than he would ever admit and wanting more. There's probably a saying about fools that fits perfectly well with how he feels right now.

"I'm impressed," Fujigaya says. He doesn't even try to act human anymore, wearing the same suit he was the day he tied Kitayama up, it's just as clean as it was then. Stupid demon. He circles around Kitayama, eyeing him over like a piece of meat. "I didn't think you'd last this long." There's a hint of amusement in his voice that makes Kitayama's stomach lurch. "But then again, I've seen you suffer worse than this."

If he wasn't so tired Kitayama would roll his eyes, though given the face that his face is a bit bruised and swollen from torture, that would be a bad idea anyway. He closes his eyes instead, and tips his head back in attempt to relieve some of the tension in his shoulders and neck. It doesn't really help.

"Remember, Hiromitsu? The first time we met was when you were being tortured. Seems to be a common occurrence for you." He can feel Fujigaya standing behind him, looming over him. Kitayama opens his eyes to look up, directly into Fujigaya's face, his eyes black and soulless. It's not as disturbing as when he first saw them. Kitayama isn't sure if that's because he's used to eyes black as night, or if he's just come to terms with the idea that Fujigaya is indeed a demon.

"Liability of the job," he says with a slight shrug, move as much as his binds will allow him. "You learn to deal with it."

Fujigaya smiles down at him, eyes flicking back to normal, and for a second if Kitayama ignores his pain and the chill of the room, he can picture them somewhere else in a different situation. He pushes the thought away and closes his eyes once more. "You're very determined."

"Some call it stupid."

He hears the small sound of a chuckle before the brightness of the florescent light above him is blinding behind his eyelids. "I find it amusing."

That makes Kitayama snort, lowering his head finally so he faces straight ahead. He's staring at the same blank wall he was before, for the last three days, when he opens his eyes again. Thankful this isn't the worst place he's been tied up in. Nor the longest. "You and every other sick fuck who's gotten me in this position." He smiles up at Fujigaya, completely fake.

For a while Fujigaya says nothing. He stands in the shadows, face merely an outline, staring at Kitayama unblinkingly. His hands are stuffed in the pockets on his slacks, a soft dark grey that make his--or should Kitayama say his host's?--legs look long and perfect. Kitayama hates how that effects him, how he can easily slip into another moment with Fujigaya, one that was easier, pleasant, but a complete lie. That's the greatest torture of all. Fujigaya can stand there and speak absolute filth to him, talk of hell and the things that take place there, can slice the skin on his arms, his face and make him bleed, can beat him into unconsciousness and all of that Kitayama can handle.

But this? Whatever this is. This thing that he dose, staring at Kitayama, making him remember things. This is true torture because everything that's happening is inside of his head. His memories playing over and over, brain thinking up other what ifs and it's slowly driving him insane.
