[Team 1] Summer Heat
Another "Snow Man hanging out together" drabble because I have no other ideas. Also very short because I can't seem to come up with more.
All the rain that the rainy season had dumped on the city seemed to be evaporating again, turning Tokyo into a ginormous dim-sum steaming pot. Even out by the sea with some breeze things weren’t much better. It didn’t help that going to Disney basically required you to be outside most of the time and the brief periods of being inside an air-conditioned building were limited to rides. Of course that required waiting outside in the heat for who knows how long.
With six of them, it also proved to be a little difficult to find somewhere to sit and eat that wasn’t totally hot but they managed somehow.
“We should have gone to the pools or something,” Fukazawa fanned himself. “Hot!”
Abe cooled his forehead with his cup, “We couldn’t predict the weather.”
“Definitely no more amusement parks this summer,” Watanabe groaned and started on his second XXL sized cup of coke. “Unless we go to a haunted house or something. That’ll probably cool us down.”
Miyadate snorted, “Do you want to make a ‘it’ll give us the chills’ joke?”
“YOU just said that,” Watanabe snorted.
Iwamoto made a big X with his arms, “No haunted house. No way. Nuh-uh.”
Laughing softly, Sakuma patted the other’s back and offered, “Aw, Hikaru...it’ll be okay? You can hold my hand if you want to?”
“No!”
Fukazawa shivered, “Okay now I’ve cooled down a bit actually.” The thought of going to haunted houses alone had made cold shivers run down his spine.
“Ugh, I don’t feel like eating any of the stuff here. Let’s go find ice-cream?” Watanabe suggested and finished his coke. “Let’s go?”
They got up and went off in search for an ice-cream vendor that wasn’t hopelessly crowded - the queues had to be longer than the ones for the rides today.
As they wandered around, they found themselves in luck when a stall with frozen fruit just opened up a few metres ahead of them. They all walked up to it and waited for the man to finish setting up. Once he was done the vendor looked at them and asked, “Which one do you want? There’s only strawberry or-”
All of them interrupted the man and said at the same time, “Pineapple!”
