So, Karara ran out of time so I'm simultaneously skipping her and taking my turn. (Yes, this is an option. You can do this.)
I FEEL LIKE I'M STILL REELING FROM RINBEAN'S ONE-SHOT, LIKE WHAT THE HELL IS THIS. WHEN YOU SAID "CATBOYS OR PSYCHO XIUHAN WITH THEIR APPRENTICE TAO" I DIDN'T THINK YOU'D ACTUALLY WRITE BOTH INTO ONE THING, YOU CRAZY WOMAN lol I love you ♥
So, this is set in my boarding school AU (which already has installments involving BaekYeol reunion, Sehun teasing Yixing in the lunch room, broken Sehun/Yixing and XiuHan traumatising Yifan) so here, have another couple who haven't yet made a proper appearance in the AU yet: KaiSoo!
Go,
edae, I choose you!

"Awesome," Kyungsoon said, pursing her lips as she watched Jongin roll around on the floor with the puppies that had somehow found their way into her bedroom. "Just what I needed bright and early on a Saturday morning: two noisy pups and an overgrown one."
Jongin laughed as he sat up, cradling the two little toy poodles in his arms. "But noona," he whined as cutely as his pubescent voice would allow, lifting his arms so the two puppies' faces were pressed against his cheeks, "look at them. Look at how cute and fluffy they are! Look at them~"
She stared at the spectacle, thoroughly unimpressed but a little moved by the cute sight, before sighing heavily, "Adorable. Now, can you move so I can get to my desk?"
The boy blinked, unaccustomed to the bite in her voice, and set the puppies down on the floor before getting to his feet. Immediately, the puppies raced towards the soft dog bed Jongin had laid down in the corner of the room when he and the pups had arrived earlier that day, tripping over each other as they went and yipping loudly when they had flopped down on the cushioned bedding.
Jongin ignored their calls, however; instead, he padded forward towards Kyungsoon, peering into the girl's eyes. Kyungsoon stared back, her gaze the most listless expression he had ever seen since knowing the girl a year and a half ago.
"What's wrong, Soon?" he asked quietly, hands reaching out to stop her from sidestepping him.
"Nothing," Kyungsoon answered tersely, looking away and shrugging her shoulders to try and shake his hands off.
"Nope, there's definitely something wrong," Jongin said, "and you're not getting away until you tell me what's wrong."
Kyungsoon stopped struggling then, but she didn't look back up, her gazed fixed on the carpet beneath their feet. "Nothing's wrong," she muttered.
And then she forcibly shoved him away from her, pushing him with unexpected force.
