“Sure, the next round’s on us,” he agrees, beaming at everyone in turn. Though the corners of Yamada’s lips jump up when their eyes meet, he feels as though it amount to only a fraction of Yuto’s smile.

They could have won tonight. They’ve sung together before, and Yamada thinks that sometimes they sound pretty damn good together, if he may say so himself. They would have won tonight, if only Yuto hadn’t felt the need to make silly faces at Yamada all throughout the love song, only to then switch gears so fast that it took Yamada’s breath away right when his solo was supposed to start.
