[Team 3] 今から始めよう
I have to apologize because this is completely unfinished--I wrote the beginning today and I'm going out of town for the weekend, and it cuts off very much not at a stopping point. But when it's done, this will be a companion to
faded_lace's fics here and here based on the JUMP subgroups from the s3art album/tour! This one is about Night Style People, whose performance in the concert was 100% ridiculous and made me really happy as a Yabu fan ahaha.
"Leather always makes me weak!" Yuto insisted, and Chinen burst out laughing, dropping his pen onto the table and leaning back in his chair.
It took a few moments for Yuto's meaning to sink in, but when it did, Yabu sort of wished it hadn't. "Hey, woah, TMI!" he exclaimed, gesticulating his distress. "When did you guys stop being my little innocent kouhai?"
Yuto snorted, and Chinen laughed harder at Yabu's reaction, shaking his head. "I'm still little~" he said between giggles, "But Kocchan, we're all grown up now! We're opening a bar together~" He sat up again in his chair, picking up his pen. "But Yutii, as much as I'd love to dress up in leather for you..." He paused to wink, making a ridiculously sketchy expression. "Don't you think leather isn't really the most idoly costume?"
...
When Chinen and Yuto had approached him with the idea of opening an "idol bar," Yabu hadn't been sure what to make of it at first. It'll be like fake Johnny's or something, Yuto had explained, and People will buy overpriced drinks, we'll give them fanservice, everyone wins, Chinen had insisted, but Yabu had been pretty unsure whether something like that could really get off the ground. After all, none of them had any experience running a bar or being an idol! And since he was the oldest and wisest of the three of them, Yabu had felt like it was his responsibility to protest, to ask questions and not jump right into a plan that didn't sound all that well thought out.
But actually, it had been surprisingly well thought out, or at least, Chinen and Yuto had had a lot more ideas about the details than Yabu had expected, and there was also the fact that... well, secretly, Yabu had always thought that maybe he could have been an idol, if only he'd tried out. There was also the niggling thought at the back of his mind that he had no idea what he wanted to do now that he'd graduated from college, so in the end, there was no way he could have said no.
xingphonic, you're up!
