[Team One] O-Tea-P
I saw this and wondered what if there was an AU where Taekwoon was a new waiter at a teahouse Hakyeon frequents and Hakyeon fell in love with Taekwoon at first sight.
I am not sorry for the title.
For
yeolbear and
xingphonic, who put up with me and my ridiculousness at 1AM. Also: HERE, TIFF-MAMA, I WROTE FLUFF, ARE YOU HAPPY NOW.

edae!
I am not sorry for the title.
For
Perfect.
Jung Taekwoon was absolutely perfect.
Not only did he brew the most amazing pots of tea just the way Hakyeon liked it, he also designed the most adorable tea bags to hold the leaves in.
Jung Taekwoon was utterly perfect, and Hakyeon wondered if it was possible to be any more in love with the man than he already was.
The problem with Hakyeon was that often the more he pondered on something, the more he would second guess himself. So even though he had promised the owner that he would talk to Taekwoon the next time he went to Teapee, the moment he arrived home, he began to agonise, formulating then rejecting then rehashing ideas over and over again in his mind until he swore that even the ground beneath his feet was swaying along with his tumultuous thoughts.
"You're thinking about this too much," Wonshik scolded with the most unimpressed expression Hakyeon had ever seen the other wear in their almost twenty years of friendship. "Like, way more than unnecessarily too much. Stop it."
"But…!" Hakyeon protested, pouting as pitifully as he could. "But this is Taekwoon we're talking about! He's perfect! The first time I talk to him has to be perfect too! But-!"
"No," Wonshik cutting in sharply. "No buts, just stop it."
Beside Wonshik, Hongbin sighed into a mug of tea, a heavy, hard-pressed-upon sigh. "I swear I didn't sign up for this when we agreed to be friends," he muttered.
"Hey," Hakyeon whined, turning his pout towards the younger man, "have some sympathy. I listened to you whining when you were dithering about whether or not to confess to Wonshik."
At that, Hongbin's cheeks flushed a rosy shade and he spluttered on his hot drink, although - thankfully - not choking on it. Wonshik, meanwhile, turned to look at his boyfriend with an intrigued expression.
"Seriously?" he marvelled. "You talked to Hakyeon about me?"
"He's a good listener," Hongbin admitted quietly.
Across the table, Hakyeon puffed out his chest proudly.
"You're late," were the first words Taekwoon said to him the next time Hakyeon visited the tea house.
Hakyeon blinked, slightly confused. "Huh?"
"You're late," Taekwoon repeated quietly, placing a small tray of snacks in front of Hakyeon. "You usually come every three days, but it's been a week since your last visit."
"Y-you noticed?" Hakyeon stuttered, surprised that Taekwoon had noticed his absence.
Taekwoon looked away, turning his head as he did so. The movement gave Hakyeon a fantastically clear view of the other's ear, and he wondered if he was dreaming, if he should pinch himself awake when he saw red colour Taekwoon's ear.
"Are you… blushing?" Hakyeon marvelled.
"No," the waiter answered snappily, but he refused to turn back to look at Hakyeon.
"Liar liar, pants on fire," Jaehwan sing-songed from the counter opposite them, where he was watching them with a large grin stretched across his face. "His face is so red you could probably fry an egg on it."
Taekwoon huffed, moving to raise an arm aggressively, but Hakyeon was faster, reaching out to grab Taekwoon's wrist and pulling the other man towards him.
"Hey," he yelped, actually momentarily worried that something bad was going to happen, "just ignore Jaehwan. He says dumb things all the time."
Taekwoon made a quiet scoffing sound but he did relax, shuffling closer towards Hakyeon's side.
"Which tea would you like today?" he asked, and Hakyeon knew at once that this was it: the chance he had been waiting for. "There's the usual-"
"Do you have any more of those special fish-shaped tea bagged teas you made? I really love those. They're my favourite."
"- but if… Wait, what?" Taekwoon cut himself short, staring incredulously down at Hakyeon.
"You designed and made those, right? The little fish tea bags."
Taekwoon nodded jerkily.
"That tea is so amazing, I absolutely love it," Hakyeon proclaimed with a wide smile. "Or rather, I should say," he continued, looking the other man straight in the eye, "you brew the most amazing tea."
He knew that his meaning - his thoughts of you're amazing, Jung Taekwoon, and I kind of really like you - had been understood when in an instant, Taekwoon's face flushed the same shade of red his ears had turned earlier. In the next moment, he was squating beside Hakyeon's seat, his face pressed against his knees.
