[Team Sonic] Darkest Night

“This too. And this.” Juri picked another shoe out of the rubble and shook the bones out of it. He turned to Shintaro, his remaining eye gleaming red in the dark. “Any signs of life out there?”
“Just the bats,” Shintaro replied, his eyes trained on the sickly green moon. Small dark shapes flitted through the night, their leathery wings flapping. “Nothing fast enough to get us.”
“Stay sharp.” Juri continued to dig through the rubble, trusting Shintaro to guard his back. The hunter that had taken Hokuto was still out there somewhere, haunting the ancient city like a ghost of days long past.
