[Team Three] Looking Forward (Hokuto, G)

Title: Looking Forwad

Summary: Hokuto looks back on the past, and looks towards the future.

Crashing to the ground in exhaustion Hokuto fought to catch his breath. He had just finished jogging and felt he needed a rest. He felt the cooling effect of the green grass around him as he slowly regained normal body temperature. He looked up at the darkening sky and thought about all that he had done with his life so far.

This was the year he would turn twenty, he would finally be considered a true adult. Sure, he knew that nothing really would change when his birthday would come. Still, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonderment at everything that has happened in his life.

His memories went back to first joining Johnny’s. He had been so shy back then, and his hair was pretty long. He let himself chuckle at his younger self for a moment. He thought about when he and Kouchi joined BI Shadow, that had been his first group. They had a “Debut” with Yuma, but in the end it wasn’t real. Then Fuma and Kento had been carted off to join Sexy Zone, and Kouchi and he had been left uncertain.  Hokuto could remember his frustration at the time. Sure, he was happy for Kento and Fuma, but he still felt like he was being left behind.

Before he and Kouchi could really feel too put out though, they ended up getting casted in Bakaleya, and that had changed their lives completely. The six juniors from that drama were still together, though it took a long time to get that way. Hokuto sat up, the wind blew his hair around as he sighed in contentment. They all had worked so hard the last few years, particularly to try and stay together. There had been times when it seemed that wasn’t going to be their fate.

Jesse and he had been squished together and that seemed to be how things were going to be. Johnny-san seemed to like the idea of another duo. Hokuto couldn’t say he hated the idea, but he couldn’t help but feel that the two of them were lacking something. That something the other four gave to them.

Now they finally had a group name. The six of them were together, and they had a shot at making it. Hokuto couldn’t help but feel excited about the future. Sure, he had been assigned the job of “leader” and that was more than a little stressful, but the others had all made it clear that they trusted him. He couldn’t help but feel warmth flow through his body as he realized that they really were a team. They were friends, comrades, and above all they were going towards the same goal.

His birthday was only a few weeks away, he would be twenty years old, he would be an adult. Hokuto felt like he was finally starting to figure out his life. That he was starting to understand the reason things happened this way. There was a tough and long road ahead, but as long as the six of them were together, Hokuto didn’t have any doubt that they would find a way through.

It was dark by the time Hokuto came out of his musings. He looked around and noticed the other patrons of the park had left for home already. The bugs were starting to bite and buzz around and he realized he needed to get home. Tomorrow was Shounen club, and he needed to give it his all again. For now, and in the future, he was going to keep moving towards the future.
