The change had happened so fast Koji still didn’t know what had actually happened, and he knew that he’d probably never find out.

”Want to see something different?” the man had asked, and Koji had nodded, his eyes wide open and heart racing with excitement. The man had taken his hand and they’d gone through a door – and then everything had changed.

When Koji talked about the world behind the door he always had the same expression on his face – he was always frowning and squinting his eyes as if that would help him see the memories better. And he did talk about it often, so often that the only one who didn’t walk out of the room when he got the look on his face was Toma.

Everyone else got tired of the endless stories, the hazy details and neverending guesses of what had really happened, but Toma was always ready to sit down and try to understand Koji's world.
