[Team SONIC] Time I Shouldn't Have
Starting word from here.
"Anyway," Taeyeon asked as she slid into the seat beside Liyin at the dining table, "what's going on between you and that Jongdae kid? I always see the two of you hanging about in the courtyard, even though tutoring sessions are over for the year." She leaned in, a sly, calculating expression on her face. "Is there something you're not telling us, Liyin?"
"No," Liyin answered breezily, finishing the last of her chocolate pudding. "I just enjoy spending time with him, which is more than I can say for some people."
Stephanie tittered while Taeyeon pouted, making large puppy eyed faces at Liyin. Liyin ignored all that, wiping her mouth with her tissue before rising from her seat to take her lunch tray to the recycling area. She slotted her tray onto one of the trolleys and then left, Stephanie just behind her; Taeyeon chose to stay, flitting to the next table over so she could bother Tiffany instead.
The thought bothered Liyin all the way up to her classroom, though: why did she like hanging out with Jongdae so much? It was almost reaching the point where she would seek him out whenever she had free time, which she really shouldn't have. It was her last summer in secondary education and had so many other things she should be working on: her Extended Essay, for one; her personal statement for university applications, for another. Guildhall School of Music & Drama did not just let anyone in.
There were so many things she should be doing, and yet she was still actively seeking out a boy three years her junior whenever she had the chance to: why was that? Why?
