[ Team Five ] Ordinary Miracle
no time to come up with anything this week, so I just went for it and this is what happened;; WARNING for implied suicide attempt//depression
"Miracles don't happen to people like me," Minseok sighs as he dips a teaspoon into his coffee cup. The soft swirls of milk foam floating at the top of his latte blend into one another like sand dunes rippled by the wind, like bubbles tossed over and over by the waves of the sea.
"You can't think like that, okay? Minseok, listen to me." Lu Han reaches out for the first time, his fingers grazing the ridges of Minseok's knuckles, and Minseok does his best not to flinch away from the contact. The bandages secured around the oozing scars on his wrists are covered by the thick cuffs of his sweater but they both know they're there.
"I don't know what to think anymore..." Minseok tries to find patterns in the peaks of foam drifting across the sea of milk coffee, but all he sees is the empty desert of repetitious blankness, meaningless drops of liquid that add up to a whole lot of nothing.
"Every day is a miracle, Minseokkie. So are you, so is your smile, so--" Lu Han gets braver, the tip of his thumb brushes the corner of Minseok's mouth and Minseok still doesn't pull away. "So promise me you'll give it another chance?"
"You really think it's worth it?" Minseok would dislodge Lu Han's hand from his own to take a sip of coffee now, but he's almost certain it won't taste like anything and so he'd rather just sit here, stare at the brew, and try to reimagine what he knows it should taste like, what it used to taste like before everything started losing its luster.
"Yeah, I do. I really, really do." Lu Han closes his eyes and inhales deeply before pressing his lips over the curve of Minseok's eyebrow. Minseok doesn't feel anything--not on the inside, anyway, but he feels the warmth of Lu Han's mouth melt against his forehead for the briefest of seconds, and the warmth from his steaming mug misting at the point of his chin.
Minseok opens his eyes and looks into Lu Han's--the only one who hasn't lost his brightness in Minseok's view. "Okay," Minseok says, not a promise but a wish that someday he'll be strong enough to make promises and commitments again. "If you think it's worth it, I'll keep trying."
"Thank you," Lu Han whispers, and even though Minseok can't feel it he remembers what the look in his partner's eyes means...love.

This is sad and yet it isn't - because I'm Minseok here and Minseok isn't feeling things like that, for the reader this is so unique - the fact that it's possible get a glimpse of how Minseok is thinking ^^ usually we're Lu Han, desperately asking Minseok to hold on.
This was awesome!
