Mission impossible, Yang Mi thinks, looking at the files and folders spread around her on the desk. Her throat feels tight, stretched over the tears she's not crying anymore, her eyes dry and aching. She's already discovered she owns a lot more property than she thought, her name on deeds and tucked into agreements and it feels like he's been dying, quietly, for a long time before he actually closed his eyes.
