His wounds are still bleeding, but Jesse ignores them - the sun will set soon enough and then Taiga will take care of them. Most wounds heal easily, but any scratch or bite inflicted by a fellow shapeshifter heals as slowly as if he were human. Luckily, his vampiric boyfriend’s saliva will close any wound within minutes.
He eyes the shredded shirt before throwing it away with a sigh. He’d only bought it last week, but shirts never last long. The pantry is empty, but Jesse doesn’t feel like going out to hunt and besides, Taiga might bring him a snack.
“You’re bleeding again.”
When Jesse turns around, Taiga is crouched on the windowsill, pale skin almost glowing in the moonlight. “I won,” Jesse replies, remembering at the last moment not to shrug his shoulder - the cut has just stopped bleeding. “You should see the other guy.”
